Story
Kane is a sweet, playful dog we rescued him from the high kill shelter in Apple Valley on 03/2024 he was estimated to be 6 months at that time, he is neutered and has his rabies shots. Kane gets along with other dogs and kids he’s been in our home with children ranging from 2 years old to 15years old, he loves to play with the kids. Kane is crate, leash and house trained, gets potty breaks every 3-4 hours but will get vocal when he needs to go sooner, he is mainly an indoor dog. Kane can be very active but can chill all day in the home. Kane’s husky personality definitely comes through and can be very vocal at times. He is very smart and catches on very quickly especially if food/treats are involved. Unfortunately we need to move down the hill unplanned and the apartment complex does not allow dogs. We’ve looked for other options but due to limited income where we are relocating is our only option. Adoption fee added to make sure he will go to a loving home.

Story
Hi! My name is Willow! I'm a 1.5 year old German Shepherd, but I might be mixed with Belgian Malinois. I was so scared when my foster family picked me up in the mountain foothills after being there for a while! Not gonna lie, it's a little hard to trust people, so I can be a little shy, but my foster home has helped so much! My perfect home in one word would be ...... chill. I'm more introverted, and the calmer the energy in the home, the better! If you like to sit and watch movies and give me some toys, I would be a happy camper! The occasional romp outside and some walks/hikes are perfect, but I really just want to be where you are. Some kids I've met I adore - they came up to me calmly and pet me nicely. My fosters say a family with kids shouldn't bombard me while I get used to my new home - I agree! I need a patient family. Cats don't like me. I think they don't know I want to play, and to be honest, I don't understand them. I love to play with the other dogs, too, but sometimes they don't understand me either. It's hard to get along with dominant females because I just don't want to be dominated, and they're a little scary. I love playing with the boys and the easy-going girls. Aspen, my German Shepherd puppy mate, is my best friend! I love her! But if I'm the only doggy in my new home, and I get showered with lots of love and affection, I couldn't ask for more! I might actually prefer that, come to think of it... I just love my kennel that I share with Aspen - she's a great roommate! It is my safe space, too! I am potty trained. My favorite toy is a stuffed squirrel that I like to fling around - super fun!! I really just want a family I can call my own. My fosters said a $50 adoption donation/fee would partially cover expenses to take care of me and my foster mates. They said I'm spayed, vaccinated (DHPP and rabies), and microchipped! ***If interested, please reach out. Our first step in adoption is filling out our adoption application. We will consider out of state adoptions, but please expect this to be a more complex process.

Story
Hi!! My name is Aspen! I'm a German Shepherd about 6 months old. I came to my fosters from a family that didn't want me or Jasmine, who has a great home now! I don't know what happened, but I'm a strong girl, and nothing is gonna get me down! I LOVE to play!!! The cats, the dogs, the horses, I love playing with them! Sometimes, the other dogs don't want to play as much, so if I have a doggy playmate, I hope they're just as playful as me! I'm learning that the cats don't like to play rough, but they like kisses. My favorite toy is literally anything! Everything can be super fun to play with! Crunchy toys are my favorite! I love cuddles and snuggles so much! I love being with my fosters all the time! Wherever they go, I want to go! I especially love couch cuddle time! I am still learning where to do the potty thing, but I'm learning! I haven't had an accident in a month! I really want a family I can call my own. The foster dogs are so happy with their peoples, I want people of my own. (***And she deserves them and more! She is an absolute sweetheart and so beautiful!***). I'm not a jumper either, so I won't jump on kids or older peoples. My fosters say my adoption donation/fee partially covers expenses to take care of me and my fostermates. They said I'm spayed, vaccinated (3 times with DHPP and 1 rabies), and microchipped! ***If interested, please reach out. Our first step in adoption is filling out our adoption application. Story
Mercy was found at an airport near a busy street. I tried to find her home but was not successful so I brought her home. Mercy is a very good girl she gets along well with my children and two other dogs. We tried to find her home but nobody claimed her so I took her to the animal shelter in hopes that somebody would find her or adopt her. Mercy was at the shelter for two weeks before they called me and said that she was to be euthanized by the end of the day. I went back and got her and brought her home. We have been trying to make it work but with two other dogs, children, and a busy lifestyle we are unable to dedicate the time to her that she needs to become a well mannered part of the family. Mercy is a very very sweet and loving girl however she has had no training. When I do get time to spend with her she does seem eager to learn but because we are so busy she's more excited to love and play. I am confident that a little bit of training with her will go a long way.
