EMERGNECY PLACEMENT DEADLINE 3PM WEDNESDAY APRIL 17, 2024Name: PANDA Animal ID: A746364Age: 4 yearsWeight: 39 lbs.About: Meet Panda, he is about 4 years old, Chow Chow mix. Panda will need to find placement with a foster or an adopter through PACC before 3pm on Wednesday April 17, 2024.Panda first came to the shelter back in 2021 as part of a hoarding situation, where he was living with numerous other dogs and was under socialized with people. He was fortunate enough to have received some socialization with the help of staff and volunteers and lived in an adoptive home for well over a year. He is still a little nervous with handling, but in the shelter, he has not shown any potential to fear bite. Panda deserves a second chance at life. He has lived a rough life this far and is looking to find a permanent home to live out his days living his best life. In his previous home, Panda did display some reactivity to people while on the leash and did have an undocumented bite to the husband in the home. Panda would like to meet every member in the household before going home. Once Panda is comfortable with his people, he can be protective so he will need to be kept in a crate or separate room when visitors enter the home. Panda does well with other dogs and might do better in a home with another dog. If you are interested in meeting Panda please come to PACC and ask to meet him.

Story
Hailey is a sweet senior lady who first came to PACC back in 2022 when her people were moving and were unable to take her along. In her original home, she did well with other dogs, cats, and kids. She was reportedly housetrained and crate trained, and her people described her as a sweet girl that thinks she`s a lap dog despite her large size. Hailey was adopted but has now found herself back in the shelter after two years in another home. She again did well with cats, was housetrained, and was described as a couch potato. She’s a senior citizen now, so may appreciate a quieter, kiddo free home at this point in her life!Hailey spent some time in a foster home as well- here’s what here foster told us:- Hailey is a gentle giant; very calm but still has pep!- She listens well and adjusted quickly to a new environment.- She does well in the car.- She is quiet, takes treats gently, and is polite on leash.- She loves her walks and gets excited when she sees the leash.- She is a light snorer, which is so cute!- She loves to dip her feet in the water.- She is eager to please, wants companionship, and likes affection - She is crate trained and housebroken.“Hailey is a great dog and would make a wonderful companion for a single person who works full time that doesn`t want to worry about their house getting destroyed as it might with a young dog or puppy. Also would make a good companion for an older couple as she is mellow and sleeps a lot since she is older.”Here’s what one volunteer said about Hailey:“I’ve been spending quite a bit of time with Hailey whenever I’m at PACC. She has really turned into a friendly and affectionate gal who gets excited when she sees me. I now get tail wags and smiles when I show up to take her out. She continues to be very easy to leash up, handle and walk and she is always well-behaved and non-reactive while we’re out. We spend lots of time in the play yard and the more time I spend with her, the more she seeks affection. Hailey is always extremely calm, gentle, and quiet. She knows how to sit for treats and takes them very gently. She is sweet and lovable and her easygoing and tender nature makes her a pleasure to spend time with. She would be the perfect companion in a calm home with someone kind and gentle.”Hailey shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Story
Remy is a wiggly, energetic boy who initially came to PACC when his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. This very special pup has faced some medical challenges in his young life - he had both eyes removed as he was already blind, and his eyes were causing him pain. He also has high blood pressure and is on medication, so he needs a family committed to his long-term health. However, these things haven’t slowed this sweet puppy down one bit! Remy has done great in foster homes- he is crate trained, housebroken, non- destructive, and learns to navigate new spaces quickly. He’s also dog and kid friendly!! Here’s what a couple of volunteers have said about this bouncy boy:“When I first met Remy he was nervous. But, the next day he was much better and even played with a tennis ball and sought affection. Big, goofy puppy. He has some trouble seeing which might be part of his nervous behavior. Sweet guy, has come around quickly!”“Today was my first time walking Remy. He has come SO far since he first came in. He was very wiggly and ready to go! I gave him a treat (that is the way to his heart). He jumps up quite a bit, but I think it’s partially because he doesn’t see well and he wants to get close to you so he can see better! He loves to put his paws up in your chest and get treats or neck rubs. He may not see well but his sniffer works perfectly and we had a nice walk around the lake catching up with all of the smells. He’s a young guy who is going to make a perfect longtime companion for someone lucky! He was such a fun guy to spend time with today and I look forward to working with him more! He also showed me that he could sit perfectly for treats!”Remy has shared his kennel with a variety of roommates during his time in the shelter and was social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home. This very special, very sweet pup deserves a forever home- please ask to meet him!!

Story
Molly is a young girl who came to the shelter after spending most of her young life in one home. She was reportedly housebroken, did well with kids, enjoys hiking, loves toys and is very playful. Molly’s former person said that she is a sweet and well- behaved girl with her trusted people. Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:“Molly has a lot of fun puppy-like energy, but she’s easy to leash and did a nice sit before we left her kennel. As soon as we left her kennel, she got very excited so we worked in staying calm. She is VERY treat motivated!”Molly shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She has an assertive, rowdy play style, so would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Molly today!
