I saved Oakley from the shelter. He was shy and reserved which is why he was getting overlooked. Once I got him home he is a lovable goofball! I just can’t get him to accept my cats. I sent him to a trainer and it’s still not working. He would be best in a home with no kids or cats. He is ok with other dogs.

Story
🐾 Koda Is Looking for His Teammate for Life 🐾 Koda is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with big energy, a loyal heart, and a deep desire to find someone he can truly bond with. Once he trusts you, he becomes the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side — your shadow, your adventure buddy, and your most devoted companion. 💙🐕 Koda didn’t have the easiest start. He was rescued from the euthanasia list after being labeled shy and scared, but since then he’s been working hard to grow, learn, and show the amazing dog he can be. With patience and kindness, his true shepherd personality shines through: loyal, playful, and incredibly connected to his person. Here’s what makes Koda special: 🎾 Loves fetch, toys, and burning off energy in the yard 🐾 Forms a strong bond and happily follows his person everywhere 🧠 Very smart and crate trained (does best with a sturdy enclosed crate) 🦮 Currently working on commands like sit and leave it and improving on leash 🐕 Can do well with female dogs after slow introductions, though he mostly prefers human attention Because the world can still feel overwhelming sometimes, Koda will do best with someone who understands that confidence takes time to build. Loud noises, new people, and busy environments can make him nervous at first, but with steady guidance he continues to improve. Koda’s ideal home would include: 🏡 A house with a yard and a tall, secure fence 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Adults or kids 12+ who understand an energetic dog 🐕 Someone experienced with shepherds or confident working breeds 💛 A patient person who enjoys training and helping a dog grow Koda is energetic, sensitive, and incredibly loyal. What he needs most is someone who sees his potential and is excited to help him continue becoming the confident dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who wants to learn, explore, and build a strong bond with you, Koda could be your perfect match. 🐾💙 Apply to adopt Koda today. 👉 https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LCDR/Dog

Quest is a 4-5 year old German Shepherd and the definition of an amazing family dog. He’s fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He also has a very low Valley Fever titer and takes meds for that twice a day. Quest is great with other dogs, though he does guard his food so he just needs to be fed separately. He’s potty trained (uses a doggie door), crate trained, knows basic commands, and truly just wants to lay on the couch with you and watch TV. The biggest sweetheart ever!

Story
If you are looking for a safe, family friendly puppy to grow with your family, Twilight is the perfect match. Twilight was a stray dog in Phoenix that was rescued by teachers at a school after following kids at a cross walk into the campus. We weren't able to find owners. She is very friendly with young kids and dogs and would do well with cats due to her young age. She is about 6-8 months old and is the smartest and most trainable foster I've had in years. She learned the doggie door after showing her 1 time and was completely potty trained quickly with treat rewards. Very fast learner compared to all other puppies I've fostered (all time record honestly). She is very food motivated which makes training a lot easier. Another perk is that I notice minimal shedding from Twilight compared to my other two dogs. I'm sure she is shedding some hairs, but nothing compared to GSD shedding for example. Great with my 8 year old daughter and special needs son. Is fostered with a GSD and Chow mix. Expected weight can be 50-65 pounds. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and ready for adoption. She loves walks but we are still working on the leash training. Very playful with all dogs big and small she meets. She was pretty nervous around my 85 pound shepherd at first, but now they play on and off all day. She loves to cuddle and lay on her humans and the kids in the bed. We don't allow her to be on the sofa, but she is allowed on beds in our foster home. She is crated when we aren't home and at first wasn't a fan, but is adjusting. She loves toys and naps throughout the day. She is really the best puppy I've ever had temperament wise. She welcomes all friends and neighbors into the home and is just a big love. When she is adopted we will provide a dog bed with our scent and some familiar toys so she adjusts, but she is the type that will happily transfer homes without hesitation. She is just a happy girl all around as long as she is getting love. Let me know if you are interested in meeting her or have any questions. Her adoption fee is $375. Thanks! Story
🚨 Willow Needs a Foster or Forever Home ASAP 🐾 Willow has been waiting patiently while all of her siblings found homes… and now it’s her turn. This sweet girl urgently needs a foster or adopter so she can finally have the space and stability she deserves. 💛 Willow (formerly Angelica) is a beautiful tricolor Shepherd mix born 7/28/25 as part of the Rugrats litter. While her brothers and sisters have already been adopted, Willow is still looking for someone to say yes to her. She’s a friendly, social pup who truly enjoys being around both people and other dogs. Being crated for long periods has been tough for her because she really just wants to be part of the action and spend time with her companions. Here are some things to know about Willow: 🐕 Great with other dogs and loves social time 👧 Good with kids 🚪 Doggy-door trained 🛏️ Crate trained and does well overnight 🍖 Already knows how to sit and patiently wait for food or treats 🚗 Loves riding in the truck and meeting people at events 🥕 Big fan of cooked carrot coins and small toys Willow is a sweet, adaptable girl who would likely do well in many different types of homes. What matters most to her is being around people and dogs instead of spending long hours alone in a crate. She would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of social interaction, playtime, and the chance to continue learning about the world. Right now, Willow urgently needs either a foster or a forever home. Fostering is completely free — the rescue provides food, supplies, and vet care. All you provide is a safe place for Willow to stay while she continues her journey to a forever family. If you can help Willow finally leave the waiting list behind, apply to foster or adopt today. 🐾💛 Adoption App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LCDR/Dog Foster App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/LCDR/Dog
