Story

I still have a way to go but I wanted to share a bit about me. I was left abandoned at the shelter from a very questionable background. Unable to hold in any food my timeline was cut short at the shelter. Thank goodness Church of Pug said yes to giving me a chance. My foster mom took me to this dog doctor who did not think I had much time left. No one could explain what was happening with me. Luckily my foster mom and the dogtor did not give up on trying to find out what was causing me to be so sick. All I knew ... I was SO HUNGRY, but no matter how much I ate I could not gain weight, and my body was breaking down. Luckily, a special test gave everyone the answer ... I have something called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) which I guess means my pancreas does not work so well UNLESS I have these awesome enzymes that help me absorb nutrients AND I am FINALLY feeling full and getting healthy and strong. Even with all of these things I can proudly say I am completely potty trained. No accidents for me. I like my space ... and I gravitate to the cat vs. the other dogs in the house. I sleep through the night and when I want to be pet or cuddle, I put up my paw and gently grab your hand or arm. I am still unsure about people ... I don't like to be picked up ... so when I want on the couch I growl when I go from floor to next to you ... but then I stop. If I am not sure what you are doing or your intentions, I will growl. It's my way to say I'm uncomfortable but I would never hurt anyone, I swear. I am really trying to behave like a dog who is loved, vs a dog who was hurt. I believe I can learn to trust again I just hope my forever home has the patience to help me get to that happy place. For my comfort a home with kids and wild hyper pups would not suit me. I prefer the calmer of the pack and the kitty cat. I know I will find my forever family when I am healthy enough. Until then big woofs from me, Marty.

Tyson loves his people BIG TIME & will need a reminder that he doesn't need to guard them against new visitors, so Tyson will need a home that is still willing to lay down some boundaries regardless of his super cute puppy-dog eyes & enforce gentle reminders to relax around new visitors. But dont worrythis sweet, one-of-a-kind pup is eager to learn & would thrive in a home thats willing to set loving boundaries. I am a super sweet Frenchie boy with a big personality, looking for that special someone who will love me forever, unconditionally. My back legs are starting to give me some trouble, so stairs are a challenge, but my curiosity and love for life arent slowing down! I still walk without assistance, and I come with a wheelchair and plenty of supplies to help with my needs. Im hoping to find a kind angel who has experience with pets like me or is willing to learn. Physical therapy might help slow my condition, and Id do best in a home with carpeting. Im a bit of an independent gentlemanI mostly keep to myself and prefer to be the only dog. However, I can also live with other dogs as long as theyre gentle and not bullies. Id love to be with someone whos home for most of the day. Im also a great protector and will bark to alert you of any danger! I enjoy cuddling in bed, suckling on my little toy, and making joyful whines. Hi all! I'm Hannah! I'm a fiesty little frenchie with sass and attitude. I'm good with people but I want to be your one and only. No other dogs in the home for me, please and thank you. I love to cuddle but am young and spirited so I want to play with you too. I've got your typical frenchie allergies, which manifest in my ears. As such, ear treatment will be an ongoing issue for me. Church of Pug did two surgeries to try and help my ears but long-term care will be required. A vet in Mount Vernon has been helping me and I'm getting much better.

I'm mature, house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. So there. I am lady with Frenchitude so I'm definitely be the alpha and need to be an only dog girl. I don't need a lot of hoopla, whats is mine is mine. MY food, MY toy, MY person are things I can try to protect, so no small kids as well. Its ok if we have company, I don't mind eating in the other room or even my crate. If you want to take short walks, I'm good with that, not really my thing. I am not a girl that wants to be fussed over unnecessarily so I won't be wearing any sweaters if I'm not in the mood. Rumors I hear the Hoomans say is that 'I'm an awesome lap dog and loves to snuggle'. Waiting for you ;) That being said, I just need a strong owner that's going to tell me how I'm going to behave.

I ended up in Rescue when my mom came down with dementia and had to be moved into memory care and I was unable to come with her. other family was not able to take me and they had tried many rescues that had all just said to put me down because I was too old before Church Of Pug welcomed me in.
