Story
Capone is a lovable 7-year-old pup weighing 31 pounds with a unique background and an even more unique personality. Originally purchased as a puppy from a pet store, he was marketed as a French Bulldog and Beagle mix. Whatever his lineage may be, one thing is for sure—Capone is 100% amazing! This housebroken boy is great with kids and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He has a warm, gentle nature that makes him a joy to have around. While he’s been kennel-trained, Capone would much rather spend his time with people who can give him the love and companionship he deserves.Sadly, his previous family had to make the tough decision to rehome him due to long work hours, but Capone is ready to find a forever home where he can be part of the action and enjoy all the cuddles he loves so much. Could that be with you?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Welcome Roxie Rose, a 2 year old blonde Frenchie who needs some love and care. Seems like Roxie Rose has been attacked by some dogs that left her body with several bite marks at her ears and face. One ear had a hematoma and she had a cherry eye. Both were removed during surgery yesterday. We would like to thank Dr. Evans for taking her in so quickly and doing a wonderful job. Roxie Rose is approximately 2 1/2 years old and weighs 24 pounds which we believe that some of her weight comes from human food. Right now she is trying to out wait her foster mom to give her human food and refuses to eat the dry kibble but she will get the hang of it.  I will post new pictures once she has healed a bit next week.  We anticipate that Roxie Rose will be cleared to go to her new home in 2 weeks without any further medical needs.  She may even lose a few pounds without so much human food!   She is just a very spoiled, normal dog who loves to sleep with you and follow you all over the house. These pictures are before her surgery and right after she woke up. Thank you.  If you are intereted in adopting Roxie Rose, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         November 17, 2024, 12:44 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Roxie Rose is a 3 year old female Frenchie that is overweight at 24 pounds because someone really spoiled her with human food in her previous home.  She needs to lose about 5 pounds.  But she is a very happy girl and she simply adores being around people.  For sure she is a velcro dog, she follows you everywhere especially the kitchen in hopes of you dropping some food for her. Roxie Rose had a home but they could not provide the care she needed for dog wounds, a cherry eye and a hematoma in her right ear.  All of her medical needs have been addressed and she does not need any medications or medical attention now.  She is still healing from her cherry eye surgery and has a follow up appointment on Wednessday, November 20.  She can go to her new home after her vet appointment. We are taking applications for her now.  If you are interested in adopting Roxie Rose, please submit an application on the website below. Oh yeah, if you want a dog to walk with you Roxie Rose is not that girl, she will walk just a few steps and stop to be picked up.  She walks great on a leash while she has her harness on but she is not a fan of exercise!!  She does like to watch TV, she really pays attention to the shows. These pictures are of her before her surgery and the day of her surgery.  We will get more pictures of her.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Looking for a great, energetic dog to spice up your life and help with your New Year’s resolution of staying more active than you ever thought possible? An accountability partner or personal trainer? Ron is your man! He is looking for a home within driving distance of Dallas, TX. If you think you might have that perfect home, please read Ron’s ENTIRE bio before making your next move. Ron is the cutest, isn’t he? Don’t be suckered in by the cute face. Ron is an absolute WildMan. He has the energy of 5 dogs. Let’s put it this way: if Ron were a drink, he’d be an espresso shot - with a Red Bull chaser. Looking for a sweet, quiet couch potato of a dog? Keep scrolling. Enjoy ending the day with a little Netflix and a glass of wine? Not unless you’ve worn Ron to a nub with multiple walks/runs through the neighborhood or a sent him for a grueling day at doggy daycare. Only then will he let you rest. A tired Ron is a sweet Ron. It just takes a LOT to wear him out. Want a buddy who will do agility or play flyball? Ultimate Frisbee? Running partner? Have another WildMan at home that needs a partner in crime? Ron is your man! Work at a dog daycare and able to bring your dog to work with you every day? Have we got a deal for you! Ron is actually a great dog! He is housebroken, crate trained, and is wicked smart. He also has endless energy. He absolutely needs another young, high energy dog to play with. -Preferably a dog bigger than him. We discovered that he LOVES playing with a herding dog at doggy daycare. He loves a good game of chase! How about kids, you ask. Well, are they old enough to keep up? If so, hell yea! Only homes with a very secure, larger fenced yard will be considered. Ron has been known to fit through wrought iron fences. His foster mom puts an inflatable donut around his neck to keep him from making a run for it through the fence when they are at the dog park. Ron is 25 inches from tip of his nose to the base of his tail. Although he isn’t a big dog, he is a long dog. He’s too long to fit in a flight carrier. Yes, we’ve tried. Ron is half Shih Tzu/half French bulldog. He is about a year old, weighs 20 pounds, is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and is heart worm negative. Does your soul long for an adventure, challenge, and a best friend who will keep you laughing, running, and occasionally shouting “RON, NO!” You’re in the right place. Please fill out an application at nbgr.org. Already have an app on file with us or have adopted or fostered for NBGR previously? Email Holly Pruitt at hpruitt4@yahoo.com to let her know you’re interested in The WildMan.

Story
We've had Zuko since 12/12/20 - he was 10 weeks old. A year after we had gotten another dog. He was fully trained, but unfortunately, it didn't last long.. He watched the new puppy do whatever he wanted (as we were trying to train that one as well) and thought it was ok to poop whenever he wanted. Years later, he still struggles will learning when to go potty and how to hold it until it's time to go outside. My husband and I are both teachers and expecting a baby on the way. Our hours were already cutting it close to meet his needs, but now more than ever, I won't have the time to support Zuko. He struggles with wanting attention very bad. We call it FOMO. He cries all day long when we are at work/anytime we can't let him out of the kennel yet. He also poops his kennel as a means to get out. He deserves to be an ONLY child. One who can roam freely around the house all day. He is a lazy guy, so he just wants to be near you while sleeping on a big fluffy bed. He hates being locked up.
