Story
If you put happy, silly, cute in a fun size package you get Inkie! This girl is a little barrel of fun and a love seeking missile who happens to also be so stinking adorable. Before you read any further- do you like dogs that melt in the name of a belly rub? If you said yes, keep reading! https://youtu.be/qFAZwgAqhtg With rescue, breed and age are often unknown and that is the case with Harley. We estimate her to be about 3 years old and she is likely some type of frenchie/pocket bully mix. This fun-size girl weighs 37 lbs and she is fully grown, so you are absolutely getting a whole lot of love and personality in a small package. On top of all that happy cuteness, she has a great personality- getting along great with dogs, cats, and she loves babies! Inkie has been introduced to a bunch of dogs- different sizes, ages, and energy levels and she is very dog-friendly. She can show a cautious side, approaching very calmly and respectfully, with larger dogs. When meeting a playful dog her approach is slightly different, it is perfectly polite while still somehow flashing her fun-card their way. When she makes a connection, watch out, it is the kind of thing that will have you laughing out loud. She has a puppy like enthusiasm for play that is contagious, she has gotten more than a few of our “not-playful” dogs to bounce around with her or get into a round of chase. She would love a home with a playful doggie friend with a medium energy level who knows the power of taking breaks in between the fun. This little girl impressed us with her leash skills. It is very common for that pocket-rocket energy to show when on leash, eager and full of go, but that is not the case with Inkie. She has a good pace, is great when tandem walking with a friend, and is attentive to her handler. This is also when she really shows off her friendly nature, this girl doesn’t know a stranger and people gravitate towards her friendly face. She doesn’t pull for the interactions but she is always available for it, though it does often lead to her being belly-up on the ground in the name of a belly rub. How could you ever be mad at that though? We could see Inkie in a home with other pets- dogs or cats, and a perfect fit as a family girl. I can just see her being the best playmate for kids, starting immediately if they are old enough, or growing into the role. She hung out a 10 month old baby and was a dream! Unbothered by him grabbing her face, the cries and squeals, and even the walker didn’t phase her. When we introduced her to our house cat she went from being cautious and curious to avoidant and respectful. It was easy to see she has likely never met a cat but she was not going to try and fast-track that friendship. A dog-savvy cat that can set a boundary would be a great fit for Inkie, she will respect that and before you know it they will be snuggled-up besties. This girl is going to be so fun to teach tricks to! She knows a few basic commands but her attentive nature and absolute LOVE of treats will make training come along quickly. Start thinking of all the fun party tricks you two are going to be able to show off! And if you love a dressed-up doggie, this girl is ready to be your model. She is easy to put the cutest clothes on and the only thing I couldn’t make work were hats and only because her big expressive ears could not be held down at all. Let’s review all this goodness- great with other dogs, respectful of cats, loving, treat motivated smartie, and the perfect to-go size! We all adore this girl and know you will too! Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Checking me out???? Of COURSE you are!!! I am cute, I am smart and I am a frenchie!! Now, before we go too far in this potential relationship I need you to know...I fart sometimes... :) I snort AND snore... AND i have a flat face :) Now that we have THAT outta the way, lets get down to brass tacks...this is the part of my bio that explains why I have a pink wheelchair! No one knows why I am partially paralyzed, very likely a very common frenchie malady caused by crappy breeding :( But honestly, it adds so much to my charm and my strength of character ;) I am a SURVIVOR. I was at the pound, skin and bones and scared and pleading with my eyes to get out of there alive.... and a wonderful frenchie/bulldog LOVER and FOSTER MOM saw me and begged for the rescue to help me... and I hardly had to turn on the charm because the rescuer saw my face, and my foster's determination to help me and it was a done deal! Now I am healthy, I am happy, I am GREAT with other dogs and would be best with one or several other buddies. I am great with kids but due to my disability should be older kids. I cannot wait to be your family member, you will get snorts/farts/snoring and lots of silliness when you adopt me so don't hesitate!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
The underbite that could launch a thousand ships…. Meet Darcy, a 19 month old Frenchie/Boston Terrier mix with the snaggle-toothed grin to melt your heart. She was found as a stray, in heat, but is now spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, & ready to find her furever home. Darcy is crate-trained, but hasn’t quite mastered housebreaking, yet. She is quite snuggly & likes other dogs, especially male dogs…IF AND ONLY IF THE DOG(S) are her size or smaller. Stuffies & chew toys also make her happy. She is very food and affection motivated. Despite her relatively small size, she has a dominant personality. With people she is affectionate, goofy, & easy going. Is your home the one she has been searching for? Attributes: Affectionate, goofy personality with people Older children only Best as a single dog or with other small dogs. Does not like dogs larger than her. Crate trained Cat safe Good on a leash Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650(includes transport to your area)
