***NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS***MUST BE ON FRENCH BULLDOG WAITLIST***Hi, I'm Walter and I'm so happy to meet you! I am a very sweet boy who likes to cuddle and follow my person around the house. Especially if you have food...I heard them call me sneaky but like they also say, you snooze you lose! I also love to go for walks and play with toys. I am very good at trading my favourite toys for a treat. I am also comfortable with being left alone in my crate and working on having longer times alone between breaks! I am living with foster cat and dog siblings and I love them both. Sometimes I will give the cats kisses even if they're not too sure what they think of me ☺️I also love to meet new people and am not shy - so keep an eye out for when I become ready for my furever home!

***NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS YET***COMING SOON***CLICK ON PHOTO FOR DETAILS***Hi, I’m Balki, a 7 year old French bulldog. I’m settling in nicely at my foster home, and my foster family says I’m a very good boy. I’m a friendly, confident Frenchie who likes everyone and gets along well with the other dog in my foster home. I have very good manners and don’t make much noise except for snoring and grunting. I love long naps, belly rubs, and playing with toys. I just need to get neutered, then I will be looking for my perfect home.

Story
Penny | French Bulldog | 3.5 years | Female *We cannot guarantee breed nor age. Temperament: Sweet, high energy, incredibly intelligent. Activity Level: Medium-High energy. Vetting: Vaccinated (DH2PP, Rabies), spayed, microchipped, dewormed, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention year-round. Penny is on Fluoxetine and Gabapentin which has helped significantly. She also has allergies to turkey, chicken, duck and lamb (developed a significant rash on her belly). She had a small reaction to fish (very tiny rash) so we have been avoiding that protein as well. So far she seems ok with beef, kangaroo and pork. Due to the breed's susceptibility to health issues, a home with knowledge around French Bulldog’s common issues is essential. Pet insurance is a must! Future owners should take precautions to avoid overheating, limit stress and seek immediate medical attention if she experiences respiratory distress. Housebroken: Yes. Good with Dogs: Penny is fantastic with dogs when out and about but can be protective and territorial at home. She may show resource guarding behaviour towards other dogs indoors, so a single-pet household is necessary. It’s important to note that all introductions to new dogs should be done in a careful and controlled manner. Good with Cats: No. Good with Children: No. Prey Drive: Yes. Response to outdoors: Penny adores walks, hiking and swimming, and she’s always curious about the world around her. She’s the perfect adventure buddy! Crate-Trained: Yes. Resource Guarding: Penny resource guards with other dogs but not with humans. Response to Commands: She knows sit, stay, heel and fetch. She has been working hard in a board and train with the amazing Dog Hero to learn more fantastic skills. Are they vocal: Not overly barky but she loves to express herself with grumbles and grunts. She will, however, alarm bark at knocks and doorbells. Leash Etiquette: Penny is an excellent walker both on and off-leash, with solidly developing recall and a penchant for stopping to sniff around. Transportation: Penny loves car rides and is always up for an adventure! Introducing the charming Penny! Penny is a slow burn of love. It is very important to note, however, she will be very apprehensive at first. In fact, for the first three weeks in foster care, she had to be kept leashed at all times as she wouldn’t allow us to put a leash on her collar without screaming. She has some issues around physical handling and needs trust with her handlers to be built slowly and patiently. After some time getting to know us, she did eventually relax and we are now able to do whatever we need for her for the most part. Once she gets over her initial fears and inhibitions, Penny is a real treat! Penny can be a snuggly sweetheart who adores affection and belly rubs. However, again, it’s important to take this kind of affection very slowly with her until she feels fully at ease. She loves to start her day with playful energy, and if you’re going on an adventure, she wants to be right there beside you! Whether it’s hiking, swimming or just lounging around, Penny is your loyal companion, ready to jump into any family activity. With her playful spirit, Penny will keep you entertained with her antics. She’s known for her joyful flips when excited and her adorable baby dragon that she snuggles with at night. Her quirky sideways glances and delightful sounds will have you laughing in no time! Shaun from Dog Hero, who has been fostering and working with Penny, will provide guidance on how to set Penny up for success and continue her impressive development. Story
***NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS***MUST BE ON FRENCH BULLDOG WAITLIST*** CLICK ON PHOTO FOR MORE INFO ON JACK***Hello my name is Jack and I am so happy to have landed at HBR. I am just a quiet, little guy that loves to be loved. I like to have all the attention and snuggle up with my people and watch Netflix. I am very low maintenance and chill, I do like to have a morning and evening jaunt around the neighbourhood and smell all the smells and mark my territory as well as sitting in a backyard in a nice warm spot. Relaxing is one of my favourite things to do.I previously lost one of my eyes due to a cat scratch, but that doesn’t stop me from being the sweetest little guy around. I’m still full of love and snuggles, and I’m ready to find a family to share my big heart with. I will require optimmune eye ointment for life. I have had some past trauma to my ears so I am very sensitive in that area and really do need that boundary to be respected. I also have some really cute face wrinkles that need a daily clean and my nose can get dry so some nose butter really helps to keep it soft. My skin is a bit dry so my foster mom adds some fish oil to my food to help with my skin and coat. It’s delicious! I am not big on exercise and don’t require too much activity. I am new to the toys and so far I will sometimes indulge in playing with a nice stuffy or a ball. I also will sometimes chew on the antlers my foster mom gives me but I much prefer snuggles and loving to toys. I will sometimes engage in small play with my foster fur siblings but I tire out quickly. I just love to be loved, I am very social and will want to stop and talk to everyone and get all the attention because I think humans are awesome. I do also think furry friends are great too so I like to lick and kiss them.My foster family thinks I am one of the sweetest dogs they have ever met, and that I am so special and anyone will be lucky to have me.*Jack would be happy to move into any type of household as he is a quiet boy*Jack needs his physical boundaries respected, so would be best with older children who can understand this.*Jack is not suited to higher activity levels like jogging or long hikes, nor does he play much with other dogs, even though he likes them.*Jack tires easily*Jack is on a skin-health diet that should be maintained for his well-being-located in Ajax
