I like to run fast and play with my toys. I’m learning how to walk on a leash. After I warm up, I like people. Since I sometimes play rough (not aggressive) and don’t know my strength, I could accidentally be risky around little kids. Also, I like other dogs, but I have shown some dominant behavior. My foster parent hasn’t seen me with cats yet. I’m crate trained and sleep all night. I’m almost house trained, but confess that I have peed in my crate. I enjoy my food and have a habit of eating really fast, so it’s wise to limit my food or I might get excited and eat too much (I could stand to lose a bit). Well first let’s just say that Pepper is NOT a fru-fru girl that needs to be “pretty in pink”.  This girl is a Boston Terrier/Pit mix puppy who was in a very tough and isolated shelter in West Tennessee and she was the one in a million girl that made it OUT!  She is a lover girl but boy can she keep up with the older and bigger boy dogs in the foster home.  She is a great player all day long and she is tough like a “tomboy”.  She is learning the leash, crate trained and she is working on the housebreaking.  She will forever be your girl that tries the hardest to do everything right.  She is weighing in at 27 pounds and 7 months old and will one day be a 35 pound adult beauty.  We love these Pepper ears and her strong personal determination to hang with the BIG BOYS!  She is the survivor that we saw at the top of the steps in the movie “Rocky”. She ended up in a shelter and in a foster home with dogs she didn’t get along with, and she appears to have been mistreated by humans . Since coming to BTBR, she’s been hanging out with her foster mom and learning that people aren’t always scary, but she can still be very fearful. Because of Miss Bella’s past, she needs a quiet, adult-only home, with no other pets and a fenced yard. Though she will not be the neighborhood social butterfly, she would love to be your world. She loves snuggles on the couch, chewing on toys, and sunbathing. She is house trained, spayed, and up to date on all vetting. Miss Bella is currently in Aiken, SC. Ayla is a sweet, silly and playful approximately 6-year-old Boston Terrier / Old English Bulldog mix. This sturdy girl is about 40 lbs. She is very shy at first at first meeting and needs time to warm up to new people. Once she warms up to you, she loves to get pets and scratches. Ayla loves chew toys (you'll need the "super chewer" variety) and enjoys a good game of fetch. She is a love bug that is eager for love and affection. She loves kids, though she can be a bit jumpy when excited and older kids would be best. Ayla likes other dogs, but needs a friend that is submissive, allowing her to be the dominant one. She is house trained and crate trained, though she'd much prefer the floor or couch. She has a cherry eye that may need surgery, which the rescue will pay for. Ayla is located in Boiling Springs, SC.
