Meet Bonnie.... Poor Bonnie was just surrendered back to the rescue. The family that adopted her 5 months ago called and said Bonnie has too much anxiety for them. Bonnie was originally tied to a McDonald's dumpster near one of our foster homes. Animal control called us after finding her. Shortly after getting Bonnie settled on the rescue, we got her vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Bonnie was quickly adopted and we thought thriving in her home. It seems as though the adopters crated Bonnie alot. We do not crate her in foster, she is potty trained and not destructive, so why crate her. Bonnie has an awesome relationship with her foster family. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom and other dogs. Bonnie is quiet and gentle. Bonnie definitely does better with another dog in the home. She does not have alot of confidence, so being around another dog is very helpful. Bonnie would be great with any size dog in the home. She would also be great with cats. Bonnie is a very special girl. A potential adopters would need to understand her needs, and allow time to settle in and start feeling comfortable around them. Bonnie weighs 37 pounds and will not get bigger. DNA is attached. Bonnie loves being outside in the fenced yard, or going on walks. Bonnie is the BEST couch cuddler. Cali is a lovely friendly 4 year old Frenchie who recently lost use of her back legs. Unfortunately by the time she came to us she had already been paralyzed for too long for surgery to be an option, and she is unlikely to regain function. She is incontinent and needs her bladder expressed which is very easy to learn to do and will soon be fitted for a wheelchair and start some physical therapy which may lead to some improvement. She's gotten along well with other dogs in her temporary foster and is a happy playful girl who hasn't let this setback get her down. This beautiful girl came to us when her owner moved to Tennessee and was unable to find a place to live that allowed pets. Both Opal and her owner were heartbroken. Opal is a one and a half year old purebred white and fawn French bulldog. She weighs 22 pounds and she is now spayed, up-to-date on required vaccines, heartworm tested negative and micro chipped. She is a healthy little girl looking for her forever home. She is house trained, and she gets along ok with other dogs, but definitely wants to be the center of attention so she would do well with another laid-back dog or as an only dog.
