Story
Hello everyone, I’m Bonbon, a 5–6-year-old Frenchie looking for a forever home. At just 14 pounds, I’m the perfect size to snuggle up in your arms—and trust me, that’s my favorite place to be. I’ve recently been given a whole new lease on life after being surrendered by a puppy mill, and now I’m ready to experience all the love and happiness a forever family can offer. I’m gentle and affectionate, and I’ll let you pick me up anytime. Being held and cuddled is my absolute favorite, and I’ll happily soak up all the love you can give. If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s ready to melt into your arms, I’m your girl! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
I’m Caramel, a sweet and soulful Frenchie looking for my happily-ever-after. At 5–6 years old and just 15 pounds, I’m the perfect little companion to cuddle up with. Life hasn’t always been kind to me—I spent my early years in a puppy mill where I didn’t get the love or care I deserved. I only have one eye now, but that doesn’t stop me from seeing all the beauty and love the world has to offer. I’ve been told I walk very well on a leash. I’m happy to trot by your side and explore the world together. But my favorite thing? Being in your lap and soaking up all the pets and attention you can give me. I’m gentle, affectionate, and just want to be close to someone who will love me for the sweet girl I am. Let’s make a lifetime of happy memories together! Story
Hi there, I’m Butterscotch, a 5–6-year-old Frenchie with a big heart and a petite 17-pound frame. Life hasn’t always been kind to me—I spent my whole life in a puppy mill before I was finally surrendered. Now, I’m on a journey to discover what love and happiness are all about, and I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can truly blossom. I might be a little timid at first, but don’t let that fool you—I warm up quickly with gentle words and kind hands. Once I feel safe, I love being held and pet, soaking up every ounce of affection. I’m dreaming of a forever home where I can finally feel like part of a family and share all the love I’ve been saving up in my heart. Could you be my happily-ever-after? Story
Hi friends, I’m Taffy, a 5–6-year-old Frenchie. After spending my life in a puppy mill, I’ve finally been given the chance to experience freedom, and let me tell you—I’m soaking up every minute. At just under 17 pounds, I’m the perfect size to snuggle on your lap. I’m confident, sweet, and absolutely love being pet. Each gentle touch reminds me how wonderful life can be. I’m learning so much in my new world and have already figured out how to walk well on a leash. I enjoy exploring and taking in all the sights, smells, and sounds around me. Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m a happy and resilient girl, ready to leave my past behind and start fresh with a family who will give me all the love I deserve! Story
Luna is a 5 year old pocket pitbull (mix of French bull dog and American pitbull terrier). She was first rescued in 2020 as a 1 year old dog, after being found on the streets in Texas as a stray. She lived happily with us in our apartment in Manhattan, NY and also has moved with us to Garrison, NY. She has been spayed and well cared for since her adoption, with good vet care and no medical issues. Upon adoption in 2020, Luna attended dog-training to become house-trained, follow simple commands (sit, stay, down, etc) and to walk nicely on a leash with other dogs. She has never been aggressive towards other animals, and is a delight to bring to a dog park. We are very sad to re-home her and want to make sure she goes to a loving, responsible home. We need to re-home her because she is not tolerating the change in our family size - now that our family has grown to include our son and as he has learned to crawl and walk, her protective anxiety has grown beyond what is good for her.
