Meet Diva!
Clear the stage Taylor, Mariah and Madonna - there's a new starlet in town who is ready for her close-up both on the stage as well as in your heart and home.
Diva is a 7 year old Frenchie mix (mixed with cute!) weighing in around 22lbs who loves humans, pleasing you, and a little playtime followed by a lotta naptime. Diva is ready to be your perfect companion and family member. Despite the name, this absolutely adorable girl is anything but high maintenance. She enjoys her walks, frolics on the leash, but doesn't need a huge amount of exercise. She loves mealtime, but isn't food aggressive at all. She loves human contact, but is gaining her confidence and isn't anxious when you walk into the other room. She is doing well with her crate-training and while she prefers being in whatever room the humans are in, she's a very good girl in her crate too. She is very quiet - not a barker at all - so would be fine in an apartment, though she would probably also love a fenced yard where she could roll around and scratch her back. She will do the cutest happy dance for treats. While she hasn't been exposed to kids yet, she is so sweet and gentle that we think she'd be a great best buddy for a family with kids too.
Diva is recovering from being spayed, but is doing mostly well with house training; with a little more recovery and time to settle in, she is a quick and eager to please learner, so we know she will do great.
Despite an uncertain former life, Diva is the sweetest, gentlest, friendliest, most loving little lady who is ready to shower her forever family in her love, joy and optimism for the world. Could that family be you?
Diva is currently being fostered on Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $500.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
