THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Meet Lewis 💙 Breed: French Bulldog Age: 4 years old Weight: 35 lbs Status: Neutered, fully vetted, heartworm tested (negative), on prevention, and up to date on vaccines Lewis is a sweet Frenchie who came to us as an unclaimed stray. His time in the shelter left him a little heartbroken and unsure, but he’s now ready to find his forever family. This handsome boy is housebroken, gentle, and very much a Velcro dog—he wants nothing more than to stay close to his people. Right now, he’s still decompressing and learning that he is safe and loved. With patience and reassurance, his trust will grow, and his personality will continue to shine. Lewis loves the company of other dogs and is also cat-friendly, making him a great companion for multi-pet households. He will thrive in a calm, supportive home that understands his need for time and care as he adjusts to a new life. If you have a little extra love to give, Lewis will return it tenfold. He’s waiting for that special someone to help mend his heart and show him what forever really means. Lewis does require a canine companion in his forever home and would love a securely fenced yard in which to romp and play. The suggested adoption donation for Lewis is a minimum of $600 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
Welcome to rescue, Vida!  This sweet girl is a Frenchie, born 10/22/24.  She is adjusting to her new surroundings and getting to know her foster family. She has a heart condition and will be assessed by a vet.  We'll share updates and more information about Vida as we learn more about her! The suggested adoption donation for Vida is $665, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.   If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  [Muddy Paws can also suggest a vet with a reduced cost for alters.]  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2281809##

Story
Meet Stella — Your One-and-Only Companion Breed: French Bulldog Age: 7 years Gender: Female  Stella is a spirited and affectionate French Bulldog who thrives as the center of attention. At 7 years old (born 2018), she’s housebroken, litter trained, and crate trained. She’s great with children of all ages and knows a few basic commands. Stella has always had a fenced yard, but is also comfortable going potty on walks. She’s looking for a home where she can be the only pet. While Stella adores people and will be your most loyal companion, she loves her food so much that she should be the only one in the room when eating.  She does fancy a chase of cats, chickens, possums, and squirrels with intense focus. Stella needs a calm, structured environment where she can shine as the solo star. She’s not just a pet—she’s a best friend in waiting, ready to offer unconditional love and companionship to the right person. If you’re looking for a devoted, people-loving pup who wants nothing more than to be your shadow and snuggle buddy, Stella might just be your perfect match. The suggested adoption donation for Stella is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.
