Athena is a tiny, vibrating mass of affection and sheer joy! She is a 6-yr old French Bulldog/ Boston Terrier mix. She is excited to meet any visitor, any neighbor, any stranger. She will greet them all with exuberance! Athena is a genuinely happy, goofy, super-friendly girl…UNTIL…a dog comes along. ANY dog, as far as we can tell. There is only one exception, sweet lil’ Asher (8yo male Chihuahua. Please have a look at his profile)! They came from the same home, were surrendered together, & are BFF’s. We believe they can be separated to be adopted, but they would LOVE to stay together. It is clear that Athena has not been socialized with any other dogs & isn’t likely to be open to the idea, at her age. Based on her attitude and our experience with her, Athena must be the only dog in the home (unless, of course, Asher tugged at your heartstrings). This would look like others not being allowed to bring their dogs with them when they visit you; being unable to take her with you when visiting friends/family who have a dog; dog parks would be a no-no, as well; She would always need to be on leash in public. That may sound like a lot, but it’s not much. Athena…Now, she is A LOT! A lot of fun; a lot of laughs; a lot of kisses; and a lot of love FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Athena's adoption fee is $275. Unlike most Frenchie’s, he may snore if he’s very tired, right when he falls asleep but doesn’t make a peep the rest of the night. Parker is the perfect balance of playful and snuggly. He loves curling up in his dog bed or next to a friend. He is crate trained, house trained, and is a complete gentleman when it comes to your belongings. He only chews what is his! When it comes to fun, Parker loves going on walks, a good game of fetch or tug of war, chewing on his elk antler, and watching Bluey with his foster family's four-year-old. He is gentle and playful with kids and has been coexisting beautifully with the family cat, so a cat friendly home is absolutely a possibility! Although he has been coexisting with a young child, we are looking for a home with no young children. He doesn’t have much experience with other dogs since he has been with us but seems happy and interested when he sees a fellow walker. Out on walks Parker pulls a little but is easily redirected and improving every single day. He knows sit and is eagerly working on learning more. Countess is a 9-month-old French Bulldog (Corsican) with a lively, affectionate personality. She loves being held, sitting in your lap, and being around people. She gets along well with other animals and enjoys treats, chew toys, and playtime. She knows “sit” and “lay down,” is working on “wait,” and walks well on a leash. She can be a little stubborn but redirects easily with positive reinforcement. She is currently working on crate training and prefers being out and near her people. I made a hasty but heartfelt decision in taking her in because she is such a sweet girl. Unfortunately, I am in a difficult financial situation and cannot afford the care she needs, including her upcoming vaccinations. At this stage in her life, she needs consistent walks, playtime, training, and a stable home environment. Countess deserves a home with the time, attention, and financial stability to help her thrive. This is not an easy decision, but I want what is best for her.
