Story
MEET STONE: Age: 5 years  Weight: 31 lbs  Breed: French Bulldog   Stone is a sweet and loving boy looking for his forever home! He was sadly surrendered by his previous owner due to financial difficulties. Upon arrival, he had a painful, infected eye that required removal, but he’s now on the mend and thriving. His remaining eye has a permanent scar, but it doesn’t require any treatment and doesn’t slow him down at all. Stone is affectionate and craves human companionship. He’s always seeking attention, and he’ll make sure you know when you’re not giving him enough by whining or gently pawing at you! He has a playful side and enjoys his toys.  Stone is good with older kids, gets along well with other dogs and even cats, but prefers not to share his food. As a French Bulldog, Stone has a tendency to be rude, stubborn and lacks understanding of boundaries. He is a rough player and often times dominant, so if you have a current dog then compatability will depend on the play style and interaction. He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and loves riding in the car. Stone is a brachycephalic breed, meaning he has a short snout, so experience with this type of dog is necessary. He’s not a good fit for a tether system, as he thrives on interaction and companionship. Stone would do best in a loving home where he can have plenty of attention and playtime. If you’re looking for a cuddly companion who will keep you entertained, Stone might just be the perfect fit! If you’re ready to welcome this endearing boy into your heart and home, please complete an adoption application!  Stone is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedNeuteredADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=44, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=46) completely. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!).
