Meet Figgy! Figgy is one of three French Bulldogs recently surrendered from a breeder going out of business. This 5 yr old beauty has spent the last couple of weeks in her foster home trying to figure out what life as a real dog is actually like. With the help of her foster siblings, she has made so so much progress! She can now walk in and out of the house all by herself and has even discovered the joys of squeaky toys - she LIVES for squeaky toys!! Figgy does have pigmentary kerititis in one eye. It is not bothering her at all and requires no treatment at this time, although it is likely she has very little vision in that one eye. Lottie is a 25 lb, just under 1 year old cutie pie. She is definitely a velcro dog; she is always right there with her foster dad no matter what he's doing. Lottie is a ball of fun energy. She plays hard and sleeps hard. She snores when she's sleeping, too. Lottie is working on house-training in her foster home. She is doing well when going out frequently, and she never has accidents when she sleeps in her crate at night. Lottie never turns down cuddle time, especially if a bed or blanket is involved. If one of her foster dog siblings is laying down, she will go over to them and cuddle with them too. She is very spunky and LOVES to initiate a very good wrestling match with all of the dogs in her foster home. She enjoys going on walks and meeting new people and dogs. She enjoys chew toys and needs them if she's just hanging around the house so she doesn't chew on anything inappropriate. Lottie's ideal home would have another playful dog in it. She really thrives with them and loves to play! Lottie is a short, muscular dog. Her body was built in such a way that our veterinarian feels she needs joint and omega supplements. She came into animal control limping, and after their vet and our vet performed x-rays, they noticed healed fractures in her back left leg. They feel there is nothing to do at this time regarding that as she has no issues getting around. Hi there! I am Koby Teeth, and I am the little bulldog who could. I came from a shelter weighing only 20 pounds, but I am happy to report that I feel much better at 40 pounds and still have a bit to go. When I tell you I love to eat, I mean I love, love, love to eat. I try to eat food with salmon because it makes me sleek and shiny and helps with my “itchy-ness.” I am about four years old, but sometimes I act like I’m much younger. I love to bounce in the grass because it just feels so good. I love playing with my doggie friend here who is twice my size, but I can get a little rough with my play. So, my foster dad believes I will do best as an only dog - unless you have a rough player too. I spent a lot of time in a crate before I was rescued, so my back legs still need some work to be big and strong, but I can do it—that’s because I am Koby Teeth, the little Bulldog who could. But even so, I have learned to go up and down stairs. My foster mom and dad tell me, “steady,” but sometimes, when they aren’t looking, I want to go faster and slide down on my belly, LOL! My favorite things are food, scratches, playing, and my people. I love snuggling with them, even though my foster mom and dad tell me I snore—but hey, so do they. And when you think I can’t be any cuter, my tongue hangs out just a little when I sleep, making me irresistible. Pansy is 4 months old and weighs 8 lbs. She is an adorable chubby girl with a sweet pug personality. She is a little shy when she meets you but warms up quickly. There are no known health issues. She was surrendered by a breeder and she is currently in boarding in the midwest. Adoption fee is 950.00 and includes transport to the Northeast or Southeast. We prefer a home who has experience with pugs or similar breeds. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited.
