Story
Meet DORY! Dory is an adorable, sweetheart! Despite the intense look for the camera, this girl actually has the sweetest face with the expressive eyes! She is about 1.5 years old, 30 pounds, shiny Frenchie/Lab mix. Dory loves to go for walks and likes to meet people (of all ages), has very good manners, is low to medium energy, and settles down nicely to hang out with her people. She does well in new situations, and does fine with other dogs (although she would be great as an only dog). If you are looking for a very sweet, happy dog, Dory may be the one for you! Dory did not understand why her people surrendered her (and her "aunt Athena") to a rural North Carolina shelter. The shelter was overcapacity and urged PetConnect Rescue to pull her because she was so sweet and in danger; the PetConnect foster community came together to make it happen so Dory could come to the DC area to find her new home that will adore her furever. Dory enjoys the creature comforts in her home, seems to understand housetraining, and would be a great companion. She is eager to find her special person to love! Dory would be a great companion to curl up at your feet on a fall evening. ***Please note that the first step is to fill out an application (It does not commit you in anyway but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit). In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ) , spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Athena is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. For more information, please email Robin at kinstondogs@verizon.net **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Bolo was born in New York but has lived his life in Maryland. He was born to a breeder who didn't take very good care of him. He contracted the Parvo virus and was given very little chance to survive. Bolo is a fighter and spunky and pulled through triumphantly and has never looked back. He is almost 11 years old and still has energy to play. He loves people and wants attention and companionship. He is most happy snuggled up next to someone relaxing on the couch. Once he is able to run around and get his energy out, he relaxes for most of the day. He does have specific triggers that cause him to bark and be aggressive such as items with electric motors like blenders, vacuums, lawn mowers, hair dryers, etc. He also barks at animals on television. Bolo needs a home with a patient and loving owner that doesn't mind having a cuddle buddy next to them on the couch. A fenced in backyard or access to a park for him to explore and release his energy is important.

Story
Meet Eeyore Breed : French Bulldog Male : Fixed His backstory is as sad as many other dogs Eeyore was found as a stray on the streets in San Antonio ,Texas. He was neglected for way too long his poor body was tired and full of benign skin masses. After 2 surgeries he is a very happy little old man what still has so much love to give . His perfect adopter would be someone what is retired that can spend some quality time together. No small kids because he is so fragile. No other dogs or maybe one other dog depending on demeanor. Because our little Eeyore developed an obsession for toys. He collects all the toys and does not want to share with his foster siblings...even IF he has hoarded their toy!! :) Absolutely not.. he said mine mine mine . Kennel trained : He is in his kennel when I go to work. Does he like it no he will sing you the Frenchie song . Potty trained : Yes he got the hang of it also uses the doggy door . Love's : car rides in his doggie car seat , loves snacks and food , yogurt and Fresh blueberries Medication : Daily eye drops or eye cream . Eeyore deserves the BEST home! You must be able to love him and care for him for the rest of his life...he will give you his BEST SILLY BOY SELF :) Local adoption fee is $300( in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
This very special purebred English bulldog girl is called Natasha she's a fabulous representation of the English bulldog breed. Found is a stray at a construction side in a very rural county of Tennessee, this girl immediately captured the hearts of those that saw her tied up with just a bag of food sitting next to her. She is 8 to 10 years of age and we're thinking more eight rather than 10. Weighing in at 42 lb she's the perfect size and she does have sometimes a little slow gait and glucosamine with chondroitin and some joint meds definitely are in order at this stage of her middle-aged life. Her foster mom had never been around a English bulldog and was very curious as to how much she would learn about the breed by fostering. She was so pleasantly surprised and has enjoyed this delightful, happy, casually easy going, mellow girl. She is housebroken she is crate trained she is great with young children, a potbelly pig, a donkey, some horses, cats and dogs alike. There is no living thing that breathes that she doesn't like and will try to get to know. You hardly know she's around because she's so quiet and just so  tranquil and peaceful.  Natasha may be a little on the older side than you might think of adopting, but you need to trust us when we say she will be one of the best dogs you've ever had cross the threshold of your home and heart.  She brightens everyone's day and loves her way deep into your soul so quickly. We love Natasha and you will too. Give her a chance to prove to you that you made the best dog rescue decision ever. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com If you are interested. Please tell us what city and state you live in. She is in Tennessee and we transport to the Northeast for adoptions as well as adopting in the Middle Tennessee area   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

Please contact Connie Kiggins (conniek@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Handsome young man looking for his forever home! OLLY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Olly and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Nov. 17th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!     Name:       Olly            Best Guess for Breed:        Boston Terrier/Terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:        5 months as of 11/7/24           SEX:        male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):     19.8 pounds as of 11/6/24   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:        Shelter. Olly needs a foster or forever home!!   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Olly is Looking For:       Hiya! I am Olly! I'm just a puppy and such a good boy. : ) I'm sitting in a shelter, but I've heard I might get to travel to the Washington DC area and live in a house!! The other puppies are talking about how great it is to live in a house, it's quieter, you have your own toys, and a FAMILY!! I'd love to have a family to take walks with, go on hikes with, take car rides with, go to the dog park and a training class!! I would love to make that trip and meet my forever family, and show them how much I love them. My needs are really rather basic: food, a bed (I can certainly share yours in a pinch hahaha I'm not really kidding I can), some toys (I promise not to use your shoes instead plus you're going to be smart and put them away ; ) ), some walks (and those are good for you too) and trips to the dog park or doggie day care (also I'm sure good for you!). And in exchange, I'll be the best boy for you and love you for the rest of my life!! What do you say, don't you need a little Olly in your life???   What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this section when Olly has arrived in the DMV and spent some time with his foster!   Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.       Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . BE A FOSTER!!!       Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org!
