Story
Hi! I am Buddy. I am a handsome, loving, full of character, will make you smile, warrior, super hero of a frenchie that would love to be your next shadow! I love snuggling with humans and my fur friends, of course treats, car rides, walks (but short or in my wheel chair.) Sometimes on walks I like to bark at other dogs, but I'm just protecting my foster family. I got hit by a car on my left side, so I'm still healing from that. My front left leg will probably take a significant amount of time to get back to normal, but I think it will come back slowly but surely. My foster family likes to use my DNA vibe on me to help the healing and it also is very relaxing. Like I said earlier, I also have a wheel chair that I don't love, but I'm practicing everyday to like it. I DO like having ramps in my foster families house because then I can get on the couch and bed easily. If you have stairs, you will probably have to carry me for the time being. I have a lot of energy and I am a determined, warrior frenchie. If I want to get some where, I will. I also like to run outside when the door opens, just to get out there and see what's going on. so Becareful with me, because I will try to escape!I get along with other small fur friends, but when they get to be bigger than me, I'm not too sure about them. I also like to eat my food in private and my treats and bones. Sometimes if I see my fur friend with a toy I want, i get upset and will go after them. So best to leave some toys for private time. I eat my delicious Purina Pro twice a day. And I am always down for a delicious treat. I sleep with my foster parents and foster fur sibling in their giant king bed. I prefer to spoon, small spoon is my favorite. I like to wake up when they get up and I need to go potty first thing. I spend my day loungin, soakin up the sun, following you around everywhere you go and putting smiles on faces! My foster mom is constantly taking pics of me because I'm so handsome. I call her the pup-a-rozzzzzzi! I am one handsome boy and would love to fill your heart if I sound fitting and right for you! Buddy was transferred from a shelter. He is slightly paralyzed in the rear end. Buddy was hit by a car and is still recovering. His left front shoulder nerves are still recovering and he may not be able to use that leg for another six months. He is in a 4-down cart. He is a happy, silly, and sweet boy. Buddy is in Utah but we can help transport. Buddy will have a $300 special needs concession on his adoption donation. Hit by car - $6500 ICU done

Story
Typical daily routine - what food and how/when he eats, potty time, play time, walks and how she does on them Pirouette, Ette, usually wakes up between 6-730 and immediately goes outside. She will go potty after she runs her laps but will need time and encouragement. She will try and go back into the house first, but she will need to potty. She eats breakfast by 8am and she can use a regular bowl; eating is a full contact sport with her as she needs to figure out her depth perception and food source. She will not be fed by hand; she seems very frightened to do so and may have been disciplined. She wakes up ready to play and party, she loves her tug toy and will play tug of war or chase it if it is skipped across the floor. She struggles with walking on a leash as she gets anxious in unfamiliar environments but does pretty well in a stroller and is usually excited to adventure out on car rides. Kids? Cats? Dogs? She would probably do best in a home without small children, but would be okay with teenagers that understand that she has vision problems and what comes with that. She enjoys calmer male dogs and has made several friends, other Frenchie's, an English cream retriever, and a Catahoula; size does not seem to matter, only temperament. Female dogs seem to make her uncomfortable and she really turns quiet and shy. No exposure to cats so far. Likes and dislikes Ette will find her person and prefer to follow and (occasionally) snuggle with them, she loves to play and is thrilled with anyone who is on the other end of her tug toy. She does not love being picked up as it seems to disorient her. She prefers to be in her home or familiar places where she knows how to navigate her surroundings. She is a great camper and enjoys wading in shallow streams and rivers. She would be so happy with a yard big enough for her to run and chase freely. Ideal home Ette shouldn't be in a home with small children or lots of stairs. Ideally, she will find a safe space with someone who wakes up ready to go in the morning and has the patience to show her where she is and how to get around. Someone who works from or stays home would be ideal as she will need some supervision and assistance finding her way. She will alert by barking to go outside, once she gets comfortable. She has plenty of spunk and energy, but might do best as the energy leader, any pets that are more rambunctious may be overwhelming. Funny quirks Ette gets very excited and will run as fast as she can, in a circle, which is why she is named Pirouette! She has a tongue that just doesn't fit in her mouth, so she will always be sticking it out at you! She also can't see very well, so sometimes she chases "ghosts as we say. She will see dust or a shadow in the air and will try to catch it. Quirks that may be concerning to a new owner and how to overcome them Ette can see, but not well, so she will have to get accustomed to her surroundings in her own time, and she will run into things. Patience and consistency is the best thing for her. Sometimes Ette gets too excited and if she thinks you have her toy, she will jump at whatever she thinks is hers. The very best thing about her The best thing about little Etts Begetts is that she is always ready to play and very excited when she is with her people. Basic personality Once Ette feels comfortable and safe, she is just a happy and silly girl. She'll be glued to the feet of her perfect person and be so happy to be loved! Shelter transfer Ette has severe jaw misalignment and was dx anorexic at intake. She may nave continual neuro issues, however these do not affect her life. Needs spay and nares $1800

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ears and skin: great-infection cleared up so it seems those were just neglect issues. I've got her on Wellactin and Hill's Healthy Mobility and she's doing great. Eyes: definitely KCS and the Tacrolimus makes a big difference, but there is no hope of regaining vision and I think she'd be much more comfortable long term having an enucleation. Her eye still gets really dried and goopy overnight, even with artificial tears. Still have final recheck with ophthalmologist later this month for the final word. She's very good about letting me flush the eye and she sits for "drops" Oral: dentist said ideally her broken canine should be removed or root canal. Doesn't seem to bother her currently, but likely to in the future. General: deep dive in her record and call to the shelter/ spay clinic led to finding out she never got the distemper combo. Shelter did rabies, vet did bordetella at spay, but no one ever did DHPP so she actually needs that. She also has terrible elbows and knees. Her patellas give her issues sometimes when she first gets up, but she's a champ at "walking it off" and I haven't seen any skipped steps or limping once she's up and moving. Behavior- if you need to know this yet- she's a mixed bag of chill and a complete stress case. Trazodone+300mg of gabapentin for 2 days is not enough to allow for nail trim. She chews on any fabric she can get- beds, blankets, carpets, clothing.... There are holes in every blanket in my house because she's so quick. It's definitely a soothing behavior for her. She's also a shoe eater and weirdly, bras-she chews the straps and any zippers. She won't play with toys or chew any non-consumable chews. She does love sticks whenever she can get them before I pick up the yard. As far as other behavior, she gets so overstimulated and it's hard for her to snap out of it-- she wags her tail so hard she almost tips over, and gets hypoxic because she forgets to breathe. When it's with another dog, she's totally overbearing and pushy. She's good natured with people, even when she's really excited, but her energy with other dogs is difficult. We've had great success with larger males, but smaller males and any females we've met so far are a hard no. She did also kill one of my dumb chickens that got out (really not her fault, but she was like a panther), so a no for smaller animals. Don't know about cats. She's very hesitant about new people coming into the home, but if they are dog savvy and don't come at her in a dominant way (pet her head from below, don't lean over her) then she's fine and warms up immediately. Non-savvy people are freaked out by her submissive smile and lack of depth perception- it means she WILL bump into you with teeth, but she has never truly tried to bite. If someone comes from above and startles her she'll snap a warning snap then immediately smile and wag and try to get oriented. She's clearly been beat up, either by dogs or humans, and if she gets "reprimanded" by my "fun police" dog when she's being pushy, she immediately puts herself in a corner and cowers. It's heartbreaking. Personally I think she'd benefit from Prozac, at least for a while. She's great in her kennel, and she loves to just hang out in there with the door open. I feed her in there because of my other dogs, and she happily runs right in. She'll also put herself in any other kennel or box that she comes across. Utah Edna was transferred from a shelter after she was picked up as a stray. She is completely blind and has a large, healed wound clefting her entire left side of her face. Despite these challenges, Edna is the happiest dog ever. "Edna is a 2-to-3-year-old, intact female, black and tan French Bulldog who is in need of a loving rescue. She was brought in by Animal Control on 03/07/24 after finding her wondering around in Hooper. Edna is missing one eye completely, and the other seems to have no sight either. We suspect her lost eye and the large scar on her nose are from a long-ago injury. The roof of her mouth is completely intact. Edna's goopy eye and agitated ears hint at possible allergies, but she remains resilient and sweet. Additionally, she may have luxating patellas and gets over heated and tired after a short walk. She definitely has been bred several times. Despite her challenges, Edna is incredibly brave, fearlessly exploring her surroundings even though she cannot see. She walks well on the leash with little guidance and appears to be house trained. She doesn't seem to mind the other dogs or cats when she walks by their kennels. Edna is full of character - she loves butt scritches and to be doted upon. If you go near her face, she will quickly turn her head back and forth to get her bearings. She has her mouth open, but never uses her teeth.
