Toby is irresistible. We think he is a Pitbull/French bulldog mix. The vet thinks he is about 4 years. Toby loves to be involved in everything you are doing and loves to play with other dogs. Toby loves life. Drawbacks are that upon initially meeting a new dog, he can be aggressive. Once Toby becomes familiar with a dog, he is ok. Toby likes toys and likes to chew so he should get a lot of exercise. He needs to be house trained. As you can see, Toby needs some training but his personality far exceeds any disadvantage. Toby was very recently neutered so his rudeness upon meeting a new dog may subside some. He is fostered in a home with several other dogs and has his besties in the pack. He is about 23 lbs or so. (From my foster home)Just like any Frenchie, she wants to be close and your best friend. She is overly affectionate, and believes anyone around her wishes to cuddle with her. She is crazy about toys, plays a mean game of fetch, if you can get her to drop the ball. Food motivated, she has been figuring out she needs to get the ball out of her mouth before treats go in. Sometimes shoes are considered potential alternative to toys, but she is easily distracted by an alternative, or more treats.At the park she's happy to run around after the ball. She likes having a companion dog who she can bond with and play around with. She is taking well to crate training. She is like a toddler who doesn't know how to stop playing, but will get feisty and erratic if you don't force a nap time in the crate. Sometimes she will even seek out sleeping in her crate if she's had an especially exciting and long day. She can be reactive to other small dogs when on walks. This has been slowly decreasing as the days go by and she is either distracted, or shown that she does not need to 'protect' anyone. It still happens, but she is showing positive movement in regards to training. At the dog park she doesn't start anything, and will react if another dog does something. Again, this happens less and less as she becomes comfortable and feel safer. Mostly house trained, like any young pup, she needs the opportunity to go outside somewhat often to avoid the temptation to simply go in the corner. She gets in a car easily, and will chill with you on the drive as well as wait for you to return to the car. She is a sweet girl who has some quirks that will require patience and training, but is easy to overlook her Frenchie attitude for her big heart and need to be close. Hi! Meet Tater, an adorable squishy brindle Frenchie mix with skin and snorts to spare. This happy-go-lucky approx. 1-year-old boy weighs in at a whopping 45 pounds. But don't let his size intimidate you, he's only here for the cuddles and snacks. Tater is new to the shelter so we don't know a lot about him yet. What we can say is that he's very loving, seems interested in other dogs but doesn't bark at them, and he really seems to like toys. Tater does have some itchy skin, which we're dealing with by giving him medicated baths. But it's also possible that he's got some food sensitivity, which is very common in this breed. For now, he's getting some much needed TLC from the shelter staff. Tater doesn't even mind the bath! LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT FOSTER/ADOPTER! Bailey holds a special place in our heart at Jelly's Place. She is our office dog, and is very devoted to her "people". She is quirky, VERY smart and food motivated. We just adore her and know we will find just the right home for her. Bailey was an owner surrender who came to us with some psychological trauma. We suspect she was used for breeding and not treated very well. In her time with us she has gone from being frightened and unapproachable, to a dog who is starting to let her guard down and who wants affection (on her terms), treats, and silly playtime with her toys. Note: Bailey also has skin allergies (we tested her) and that involves some medicated baths and occasional anti itching meds. Bailey needs consistency, and loves her routine. She does great on a leash and would benefit from daily walks. She would be a good fit with a family who doesn't need an active dog. A family without kids would be best, she is a one or two person dog. Once you get past her initial gruff exterior, and Bailey knows you are her person she will melt your heart, and will love you with all of her heart.
