Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $600 Meet Shortz, the ultimate couch potato with a heart of gold! This 6 year old French Bulldog/American Staffordshire mix weighs in at a sturdy 42lbs of pure chill. His daily routine is as low-maintenance as he is—wake up, eat, sunbathe, repeat. Shortz loves lounging in the backyard, soaking up the rays, and catching up on his beauty sleep (which comes with the cutest piggy snores you've ever heard). He’s working hard on his potty training, and while he may need a little leash encouragement to get moving, once he’s up, he’s all about his business. Whether it's breakfast at dawn or dinner at dusk, Shortz is a polite little gentleman, patiently waiting for the 'OK' before diving into his meal.   Despite his laid-back nature, Shortz has a social side too! He’s been a total sweetheart since day one—greeting his new family (including their 9-year-old daughter) with his signature mellow vibes and lovable personality. He’s great with other dogs, happily pulling on the leash to say hello in the friendliest way possible. School drop-offs? No problem! Crowds? Bring ‘em on! He’s calm, cool, and collected. Even the household parrot flying over his head didn’t faze him—just another day in the life of Shortzy, the coolest dog around. He’s a total lovebug who enjoys the occasional game of fetch but prefers to spend his time cuddled up in his favorite spot with his humans.   If you’re looking for a super chill, low-maintenance, no-drama best friend, Shortz is your guy. He’s a snuggle enthusiast, a light chewer (only on his toys, promise!), and the perfect companion for binge-watching your favorite shows. He may take his time on walks, but his heart moves at full speed when it comes to loving his people. Could your couch be the one he's been dreaming of? Adopt Shortz and find out!   Shortz is an option for a home with a lot or a little experience. He is a great temperament for less experienced and the perfect speed for someone who wants a calm dog. He is an option for kids over the age of 5.January 26, 2025, 6:27 am

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $1000 Roly-Poly is a 3-4 year old French Bulldog who we rescued from the shelter. He's a round and chunky fellow (hence the name!) weighing in at about 26 lbs. When our volunteer went to the shelter, Roly put his paws up on the bars of his kennel and begged, 'please take me!' How could we say no to that face?! Roly's foster says: He is the most gentle, loving dog we have ever met. The first day he stayed in the crate for an hour or so then slowly came out. He very quickly accepted cuddles but seemed a little nervous and a little scared of quick movements close to him and would tend to look scared and back away. Within a couple of days he got used to the noise of the home and could sleep through violin practice and the roomba and just general kids noise around him. He loves to be cuddled and will walk into any lap that is available and will not move away. He likes to be in the middle of everything. After a few days, he offered his trust to his and gave us his belly for rubs.   Roly wakes up in the morning around 6:30 am on weekdays and 7:30am on the weekend and quickly likes to get his business done. He's about 95% potty trained but dislikes going out on cold mornings! He generally prefers to eat lunch and dinner when the family eats. He loves going for walks when the sun is out a few times a day and sunning himself. He mostly likes to hang in the home office and nap or in the family room for his naps but prefers to be wherever there are the most people around. At night he sleeps in our room on the floor on his doggy bed. He sleeps great through the night. He loves to go on walks (20ish minutes) a few times a day. He is very comfortable with the leash and only pulls a bit when he sees another dog he wants to play with. He does tend to bark very little also at this time. Roly gets along with most dogs of his size range, but some might find his typical Frenchie play-style a bit too much. He has played with the foster's neighbor's dog and they get along really well!  Roly-Poly is an option for a home with prior dog experience that has owned a Frenchie or has done their research on the breed and understands their needs. He is an option for kids 5+.January 28, 2025, 6:53 pm

If you’ve ever looked at a perfectly golden, buttery baked potato and thought, Wow, that looks like the perfect comfort food, then get ready to meet the dog version! Baked Potato is a 1 year old, 30-pound French Bulldog with a highly sought-after blue and tan coat, making her the caviar of couch potatoes. She was rescued from the shelter and has been living the good life in her foster home, where she’s quickly become the household MVP (Most Valuable Potato). The Perfect Mix of Playful & Lazy Baked Potato isn’t just a pretty face—she’s the ultimate combo of energy and chill. Need a buddy for a game of fetch? She’s on it! Looking for a Netflix-and-snuggle partner? She’s already on the couch waiting for you. She wakes up around 7 AM, does her morning business, and then enjoys breakfast before hanging out with her humans. If you work from home, she’ll keep you company (usually by napping in a sunbeam), and if you go to the office, she’ll patiently wait in her crate without complaint—though she will reward herself with an epic snore-fest. A Social Butterfly (Who Sometimes Thinks She’s a Cat) From the moment her foster picked her up, Baked Potato’s loving, affectionate personality has shined through. She follows her people from room to room like a shadow (or a very determined potato) and never turns down an opportunity for belly rubs. She’s gentle with kids, friendly with new people, and while she hasn’t lived with dogs or cats, she’s shown nothing but good manners when meeting new friends. Polite, Well-Mannered, and… Secretly Hilarious Baked Potato is fully house-trained and crate-trained (bonus points!), and she’s even mastered the doggy door like a pro. She doesn’t bark much—except for a soft, polite ahem if she wants attention. However, she does have one quirky little habit: she likes to bury her treats in the yard for a “rainy day” snack. If you see her intensely digging a hole, she’s not causing trouble—she’s just a tiny treasure hunter. Who’s the Ideal Human for This Spud? Baked Potato is looking for a forever family who will appreciate her snuggles, love her playful energy, and embrace her occasional snoring. She’d do great in a home with kids, active owners who enjoy walks, or anyone who loves a good cuddle buddy. Whether you have a busy schedule or lots of free time, Baked Potato adapts like a champ—she’s just happy to be loved. If you’re ready to bring home the most affectionate, hilarious, and well-behaved little Frenchie around, Baked Potato is waiting to melt your heart! BP is an option for a home that has had a dog previously and has a basic understanding of French Bulldogs. Story
Linus is part of Charlie Brown Litter. Holly mom is French Bull Dog /Boston Terrier mix. 2/16/24 DNA test results: Dad was a Cattle Dog 40% and 9% Border Collie. They should be medium size adults and smart. Holly was abandoned at a distant shelter and was very pregnant. Linus' DOB: 12/1/23. Once we rescued Holly and she arrived at her foster home within 2 hours she went into labor and gave birth to 5 puppies. 2 girls and 3 boys. Whew! Just in time. All the pups and mom did great at their foster home. Home raised healthy lovable and social. The 5 pups are now learning at their next foster home for puppy training. All are playful snuggly and lovable. We do not know what they are mixed with. They seem larger than Frenchie pups and have tails. We will start to review applications Jan 20th. Puppies will be 8 weeks old on Jan. 27th and will get their first vaccinations and deworm. Need home with attached backyard. More info. to come on each puppy's personality. 1/24/24 Update: The 3 boys are fairly similar all playful and slower than the girls. Linus and Snoopy are a little more timid but get more playful when riled up by Brody. All love attention and to be held. They all did very well getting their first shots and these puppies are extremely smart and well behaved for such young puppies. They are learning sit and not to bite and are all doing very very well. They will make wonderful family pets for someone. Their temperament is fantastic gentle playful and sweet. 2/9/24 Update 10 weeks old: Patty is definitely the smallest with smallest paws. Snoopy and Linus are about the same size 12 pounds and Patty is 10 lbs.. I think they will be medium sized dogs. Snoopy and Linus are slower and calmer. Patty is spunky and more independent and curious and a little more Frenchie personality . All learning crate training. Few accidents on pee pads now. They will hold to go out to backyard for potty biz. 3/15/24 Need foster home for one on one puppy training and socials.November 4, 2024, 2:12 pm

Story
French Bulldog Age: 2-3 yrs old Female, spayed 24 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Mary Lou was brought to the Stockton shelter by someone who said they “found her.” The “finder” thought that maybe she had been hit by a car, which is why she didn’t have any use of her back legs? However, there were no signs of trauma. Given her breed and that she was obviously used for breeding with no signs of ever having a C-section, it is likely that she injured her back giving natural puppy birth (French Bulldogs require C-section surgery to safely birth puppies, but there are a lot of unscrupulous backyard breeders just trying to make a buck and taking shortcuts - leaving the dogs to suffer. Many of the dogs we work with that have no use of their back legs recover to some degree with work. Mary Lou hasn’t made much progress in this area, so will likely be a paraplegic dog for the remainder of her life. She prefers to drag the hind legs behind her, rather than using a cart. And because she doesn’t have use of her back legs, pee and pooping has it’s challenges, as well. In addition to no use of her back legs, she does have some medical conditions that are common to the bulldog breed (allergies, ear infections, and the occasional urinary tract infections associated with her urinary challenges). * * * * STOP BREEDING BULLDOGS!!!! * * * * Mary Lou qualifies for our “permanent foster” program where we support her vet needs for the remainder of her life (as long as she is fostered/adopted locally). On the other hand, she is super, super sweet. She loves everyone: humans and canines (and maybe cats? Not sure). She needs a home with no stairs, and where someone is home most of the time. She would prefer a home with another friendly dog. For more information about Mary Lou, contact nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.       Adoption Fee: $750   The Ski puppies are a litter of 12 week old Pug mixes who are ready to hit the slopes with their new families! These babies came into our rescue at a month old with Mama Ski Bunny after being surrendered to the shelter, which is no place for a little family. We sprung into action and got them into a foster home, where they grew up into amazing little puppies. Heavenly weighs 7.2 lbs and will likely stay below 20 lbs when full grown.     Heavenly (F): Heavenly is ready to bring rays of sunshine and days of powder to her forever people! Unlike her boisterous siblings, Heavenly is most commonly found curled up with her humans as they chill on the couch. She does love to play, but she’s more likely to sniff around the yard and find sticks than get in the middle of a wrestling match. Like a baby, she plays peek-a-boo which is absolutely delightful. Heavenly loves rolling over and placing a tiny paw on your arm as you scratch behind her ears. She learned quickly that her puppy dog eyes and model poses can get her just about anything her heart desires, and she uses that power to get all the snuggles and treats! Ready to tackle all the black diamonds? Bring Heavenly and she will bless your ride!  Tahoe (M): Tahoe is an outgoing and loving gentleman who steals the spotlight wherever he goes! Tahoe loves giving kisses and rolls onto his back like a rolly polly whenever he thinks it’s time for more belly rubs (which is always). The only thing our boy loves more than snacks… is his people! Tahoe loves trotting behind his humans, tumbling over his adorable paws as he scrambles to keep up with the action. Tahoe has tons of puppy energy and loves to play, especially with stuffed toys and sticks he finds. Once our boy has gotten all his energy out, he is ready for a well-deserved snooze in your lap. We know that Tahoe would be the talk of any ski trip, as he tries to set a world record for fastest snowflake catching!      The Ski puppies wake up around 7 AM and get served breakfast as their pen is cleaned out. Once they finish eating, they are herded outside for potty and playtime. During the day, they cycle between playing with toys, cuddling with their foster humans, getting their zoomies out, and napping in an adorable pile. They eat again at 12 PM and 5 PM. In the evening, the pups get some one-on-one snuggle time with their foster humans as they start to unwind from the day. They go out for one last potty practice and then trot into their pen for the night by 10 PM.  The Ski puppies have been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes since they came into rescue. They love meeting new humans, young and old, and are the talk of every gathering. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss plans for continued training and socialization. The pups are all super food motivated so training should be a breeze! If you’re ready to grab a day pass for adventure, pick up a Ski puppy today!      The Ski puppies are only an option for homes who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $850   Brisket is a 1 year old English Bulldog who is ready to serve up a delicious bounty in her forever home! Brisket was rescued from the shelter in desperate need of cherry eye removal surgery and some other TLC. Even with a stretched-thin budget, we knew we couldn’t leave her to languish in pain, so we scooped her up and brought her to our vet to get her the care she needed. Now that she’s gotten all the healing she needed, she’s ready to trot into your life and make things delicious! Brisket weighs 33 pounds and is a little tank in the body of a Bulldog. We will only consider homes who have experienced flat faced breeds who are prepared for all that comes with Brisket!   Brisket is a loving little hippo who exemplifies the very best of the English Bulldog breed. Those who have loved Bulldogs won’t be able to help themselves from falling head over heels in love with our gal Brisket. She loves keeping her foster mom company during the day, especially if she can do it from the couch as she snorts and snores the hours away. Brisket has no idea that she isn’t exactly couch potato sized, so if you adopt her you are basically also adopting a weighted blanket. A two for one if you ask us! Brisket may love to lounge but our gal has plenty of energy in her as well! When you come home from work or from errands, she hops around like a little bunny in excitement to greet you! Brisket is very food motivated and a fast learner, but like any Bulldog sometimes she will require extra treats to coerce her. Ha! Brisket is also quite the model and we have no doubt that she would be a star in the making once she hits the Instagram scene. Brisket’s gorgeous merle coat and her bright blue eyes make her pop! She can’t wait to charm the world starting with you.  Brisket wakes up at 8 AM and has her breakfast before she heads out for potty time. She comes inside for a treat and then settles in for a nap. She gets a midday walk which she snorts her way through and then she comes home for some playtime and cuddles. In the evening, Brisket has dinner at 5 PM and then settles down for some TV time and snuggling. She goes out once more for potty and then heads to bed.  Brisket gets along well with dogs and humans alike. Interested homes must be prepared to discuss experience with Bulldogs. Brisket will need a home prepared to continue her ear and flap cleaning to make sure she is as healthy as can be. Brisket would be an option for a home with a resident dog but she could also fly solo! She’s flexible and eager to please. Sit down for a deliciously adorable time with Brisket today!      Brisket is only an option for homes who have previous experience with Brachiocephalic breeds. Kids should be over the age of 5.January 29, 2025, 4:26 pm
