Story
Potter is a special needs pup with hydrocephalus; he needs a family that will keep his head safe and be ok with his developmental delays. WHAT IS YOUR NAME? My name is Potter, Hydrocephalus Superhero. ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a little boy. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born around January 28, 2023. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 18lbs WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a cute, little guy! I’m white and brindle piebald, whatever piebald means. I have a little arrow marking on my forehead and white frosting on my ears. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I like moist kibble and dog-friendly treats. I’m not too sure about the carrots or apples that my foster mom offers me, but if you gave me some chicken or other tasty dog-friendly food from your plate, I would probably gobble it up! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? Well, I’m not sure if you know, but I’m kind of a big deal! And all the things that make me different are the same things that make me special. I’m sweet and spunky and living in the moment is my style. I am playful and love to wrestle and chew on my foster brother Tater. I’ve been told I can be kinda demanding; sometimes, I fuss and bark to let you know I want attention, food, or need to go potty. Sometimes, I howl when I’m in my carrier or crate because I want out! But I settle down easily. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day starts with a “good morning, Potter” and scratchies from my foster mom. Then I do a big stretch, go potty, and get ready for breakfast. Sometimes, I go back to sleep for a bit afterward. Once I’m up, I’m ready to play, explore, and find something to chew on like my Benebone. I eat lunch and nap. I spend time chilling, playing tug-o-war, maybe have another nap, and more exploring. I take my medication at 7:00 p.m. sharp and start my bedtime routine of chewing a yak stick, and then snuggle and sleep. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything to tug-o-war and my yak stick. If you let me, I will nibble your fingers and toes. Sometimes I wrestle the dog bed and drag it as far as I can! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? No, but I know my name and I come when being called. I’m not sure about learning more. WHAT SCARES YOU? Sometimes loud noises and sudden overhead movement can be scary. I’m little, so people standing over me make me cower or try to get away. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? Yes, but because I can’t play rough and need to be safe guarded, it’s best if I am around older kids that understand. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I don’t think I’ve met a cat, so I am not sure. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I LOVE other dogs. They are fun, but being around gentle dogs that are not too big, who won’t knock me over, or squish me, is safer. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Hanging out with my person or forever family doing whatever they’re doing. I’m easy going. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I was born with Hydrocephalus. I have no idea what that is, but like I said, I’m a superhero and I’m gonna live every day to the fullest. Hydro makes me wobble around, unsteady on my feet, and fall over, but it doesn’t slow me down or stop me from having fun! Humans must be careful with me and ensure my head is protected as much as possible. Other than that, I’m great! Did I mention I am kind of a big deal? WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and my foster brother. I love them both! I really like my foster brother because he lets me chew on him. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I stay in my very own X-pen with toys and a fluffy bed to lounge on, access to my food and water, and plenty of room to potty if I need to. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep on my comfy bed in my very own penned area – you know, superhero style. Sometimes, I fall asleep with my foster mom and magically wake up in my bed. I think it must be one of my superpowers. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? The most important thing for me with walks is that I won’t be going on any walks on the hard pavement. I’ll probably be more of a explore and stumble around on the soft grass kind of guy…. In case I fall over. DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Um, I like to bark demands and do mischievous stuff, like tear up my potty pads when bored… I don’t think that is so bad. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) No, I go potty on potty pads and sometimes I just go wherever I happen to be. I might be able to be potty-trained, but you’ll have to be very patient with me. DO YOU LIKE WATER? Only to drink and for bathing. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that they protect me, are patient and kind, play with me, and love me. I’m living the dream. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was born different, so some nice ladies rescued me and brought me from far away to NorCal. Now, I live in a wonderful foster home and my future is wide open… Did I mention I am kind of a big deal? If you’d like to have a superhero in your life, I am SO ready to love you forever! **Potter's adoption fee is $1,000.00** If you are interested in adopting Potter, please jump on our website and read why about the adoption fees for special breeds BEFORE filling out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Margot ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a girl! 🎀 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am around two years old! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 17 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am an adorable, tiny girl with a soft gray coat and the cutest little bunny tail. 🐇 WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? Mostly, I just love my kibble. I really like the idea of treats, but I am still getting used to eating them. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? In the beginning, I am very shy in new environments. But, don't let that fool you! It only takes me a few days to come out of my shell and I am the most outgoing girl who loves to snuggle as much as I love to play with my friends. 🥰 DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY? My perfect day always starts with breakfast! After that, I love to play in the yard and splash around in my puppy pool. I'm also queen of nap time! I love to snuggle in my bed in between play time. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I'm still trying to figure out toys, so I wouldn't say I have a favorite yet. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I don't know any tricks, but I am learning "sit" and "down," and I do really good with those when you have a treat to reward me with. 😉 WHAT SCARES YOU? I am cautious at first when I am in a new environment, but I adjust really fast! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I haven't been around children a whole lot, but I did meet my foster parents’ one-year old grandson and he was pretty cool. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven't met a cat yet, so I'm really not sure. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love other dogs. I live with two other frenchies and we are all best friends. 🐶 IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Either lounging in my puppy pool or snuggling my humans on the couch. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am in great health! 🤩 WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and dad and two Frenchies! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am crate trained and love to snuggle in my bed inside my crate when I am alone. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in a crate in my bedroom! 😴 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I am not a big fan of the leash yet. I am working on it, but my foster mom says that we have some work to do in that area. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Not that I can think of! ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am potty trained and I use the doggy door at my foster home like a champ! If I am fed on a consistent schedule and go potty before bed, I rarely have accidents in my crate. 😊 DO YOU LIKE WATER? I really like to play in the water in my puppy pool, but for my safety, the water should not be very deep. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love playing with my foster friends and snuggling my foster parents. Training time is one of my favorite parts of the day.😃 WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was surrendered to the shelter as a stray. NorCal Bully Breed Rescue saved me from that place, and now I am SO ready to find a family that will love me forever! Will you please take me home with you? 💖 ⭐️⭐️THE ADOPTION FEE FOR MARGOT IS $1,500. ⭐️⭐️ For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa If you are interested in MARGOT, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hello, I’m Raisin! 🩷 ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m an energetic young lady. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am between two and three years old WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a French Bulldog. 🐶 HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I’m 26 pounds of perfection. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m adorable! I have a gray brindle coat and the most impressive underbite you’ve ever seen! My show stopper is my ears - one stands up, one flops down. Humans can’t resist my cuteness.🥰 WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’m a big fan of my kibble for breakfast and dinner, and I love doggie treats! Carrots too. Those little orange sticks are delicious! 🥕🥕 I will do just about anything for a treat. Sit. Stay. Walk up the silly couch stairs the humans have set up for me. If food is involved, I’m in! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a curious gal and I hate to miss out on anything. I want to be around the action and my people all the time. If not much is happening, I’ll take a nap until the fun starts again. I’m loving, snuggly, and playful too. Everyone laughs when I get the zoomies after dinner. I don’t want to brag, but I’m pretty fast. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would start with snuggles as soon as I wake up. Then breakfast and a walk around the neighborhood to say hello to all my friends. I’d come home and take a nap to recharge before playing in the yard. All that running around would make me sleepy again so I’d take an afternoon nap with my foster mom. Our dog-friend, Harvey, would come over for dinner and we’d play in the backyard all evening. Then, to top it all off, I’d get to snuggle in bed with my foster parents all night. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love balls! They are so much fun to chase! 🎾 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I can put an entire tennis ball in my mouth! I’m not great at bringing it back yet, but I sure do love to chase it! I’ll sit for a treat, and am pretty good at “stay” now too! I also respond quickly to the word “No.” I’m a good girl so I don’t hear it too often, but when I do, I know that I have to stop what I’m doing. 😇 WHAT SCARES YOU? Sudden loud noises startle me, but I’m a brave girl. The vacuum cleaner is curious. I can’t decide if I want to play with it or stay away. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I love kids and they love me! I get to play with big kids and the ones more my size, too. My foster family has a 14 and 11-year old. I love them and their friends too. I recently got to spend a week with a 5-year old and 17-month old and I was a very good girl with both ages. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I’m not sure if I’ve ever met a cat. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I LOVE to play with other dogs!!! But I want to be the favorite, so I’ll wedge myself between another dog and the humans if they are giving that dog too much attention. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Napping with my human. I love to snuggle up for a nap. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am a healthy gal! Before my foster family started caring for me, I was hit by a car, so I favor my right rear leg, but it doesn’t slow me down. I’ve been told not to jump on or off of things and not to climb many stairs, but I need guidance from my humans to keep me in line with those rules. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster dad, foster mom, two big kids - 14 and 11, and their resident dog. My foster mom is my favorite. I follow her around all day and love to snuggle up with her anytime she sits down. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I have the entire office all to myself! It has my dog bed, food and water in it. I’m such a good girl when I’m in the office. I don’t bark or whimper at all. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in the office too. I don’t mind it, but I’d rather sleep with the humans. 😴 Have I mentioned that I love to cuddle? DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Walking on a leash is so much fun! I’m pretty good at it, if I do say so myself. I don’t need a long walk; maybe half a mile or so. 🦮 DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I wouldn’t call barking at other dogs from the window a bad habit. I’m protecting the house from potential danger. 🦸 ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am doing my best. My humans take me outside first thing every morning and make sure I go outside throughout the day. I’m learning to tell someone that I need to go potty by going to a door, but I still have an accident occasionally. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love to stand in the kiddie pool when it’s hot outside, but I am not built for swimming. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? My foster family is home a lot, so we can spend tons of time together. I love all the action when the kids and dogs are around, and the quiet moments are nice too. They have a backyard that I can run around in, a big dog that I try to play with all the time, and they let me cuddle up on the couch with them. Being part of the family is the best. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? That is such a good question. I don’t remember much from before NorCal Bully Breed Rescue found me. All I know is that I am ready now to find a family that I can call my own forever and ever. Maybe you can be my family? 💕 ⭐️RAISIN’S ADOPTION FEE IS $1,500.⭐️ For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa If you are interested in adopting RAISIN, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hello! I’m Sasha! 👋 ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I'm a sweet, sassy girl. 💖 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’m told I am two years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog. 🐾 HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 25 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a shiny black coat with a white patch on my chest and the cutest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen. My foster parents tell me I’m perfect, and I have to agree with them on that one! 😊 WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibbles, but I think I love my treats just a little more! Just know, I never turn down any food you give me . . . Or drop on the floor. 🤭 WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a big snuggle bug! I can be a little sassy when I don’t get what I want. When the sass doesn’t work, I pull out my secret weapon… My puppy dog eyes.🥹 That usually does the trick. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh, that’s an easy one… Breakfast, playtime, a mid-morning nap, then I wake up and do it all over again! Squeeze in a walk and some cuddles (obviously) and I’m the happiest pup EVER! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love ALL the toys!!! I have my favorite stuffed animal, my nylabones, and my squeaky toys. 🧸 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know sit, wait, and I have recently learned shake, which is a favorite in my foster home. Treats always help when you want me to do tricks. I’m easily persuaded with food. 😁 WHAT SCARES YOU? Cleaning stuff! I hate when foster mama cleans. The vacuum, mop, leaf blower, spray… I must protect the household from all of it. Either that, or she can just stop cleaning! 🤔 HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I don't have any children in my foster home, but I have met one kiddo and he was a pretty neat little fella who I can hang with. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I’m not sure I even know what a cat is!😺 HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love my doggy foster sister and brother! It may take me some time to warm up to other dogs, but once I do, I love them with my whole heart. ❤️ Just set me up for success with slow introductions, please! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Anywhere my humans are! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am happy and healthy. I snore a lot, but everybody knows that about Frenchies, right? We are world-class snorers! 😬 WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? My foster mommies and doggy foster brother and sister! My foster mamas are my closest companions, but I love my foster brother and sister because we play and cuddle all day long! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? In my kennel. I will put up a fuss for a bit when left alone, but then I just go to sleep. 💤 WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? In my kennel with my own comfy puppy bed and toys. 🧸 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love going on walks and exploring the outdoors! I even know to sit so my foster mom can put the harness on before we go for our walks. I’m such a good girl, right?!? DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? If I know you’re home, I want to be out and about with you. So if I’m in my kennel, I am pretty vocal with my complaints to management. 😜 And I am protective of what’s mine, especially when it comes to food, treats, and toys. So it is important to supervise playtime if toys are involved. And please give me private space to eat my meals so I can relax and eat peacefully. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) My foster home has a doggy door and I know “Go potty outside” means it’s time to go outside to handle my business. I am very good at letting the humans know when I need to potty. ☺️ DO YOU LIKE WATER? I am not a fan of bath time, but I put up with it like a good girl. I’m not built for water activities, though, so I need to be kept safe from pools, please. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They show me patience and unconditional love and care. My doggy foster brother and sister have been so helpful, teaching me how to be a good dog and how to have fun! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE?
