Toby is irresistible. We think he is a Pitbull / French bulldog mix. The vet thinks he is about 4 years. Toby loves to be involved in everything you are doing and loves to play with other dogs. Toby loves life. Drawbacks are that upon initially meeting a new dog, he can be aggressive. Once Toby becomes familiar with a dog, he is ok. Toby likes toys and likes to chew so he should get a lot of exercise. He needs to be house trained. As you can see, Toby needs some training but his personality far exceeds any disadvantage. Toby was very recently neutered so his rudeness upon meeting a new dog may subside some. He is fostered in a home with several other dogs and has his besties in the pack. He is about 23 lbs or so. LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT FOSTER/ADOPTER! Bailey holds a special place in our heart at Jelly's Place. She is our office dog, and is very devoted to her "people". She is quirky, VERY smart and food motivated. We just adore her and know we will find just the right home for her. Bailey was an owner surrender who came to us with some psychological trauma. We suspect she was used for breeding and not treated very well. In her time with us she has gone from being frightened and unapproachable, to a dog who is starting to let her guard down and who wants affection (on her terms), treats, and silly playtime with her toys. Note: Bailey also has skin allergies (we tested her) and that involves some medicated baths and occasional anti itching meds. Bailey needs consistency, and loves her routine. She does great on a leash and would benefit from daily walks. She would be a good fit with a family who doesn't need an active dog. A family without kids would be best, she is a one or two person dog. Once you get past her initial gruff exterior, and Bailey knows you are her person she will melt your heart, and will love you with all of her heart. She never complains about a good 5 mile hike with her human. The only thing she is still working on is not getting motion sickness on the car rides. **French bulldogs are highly prone to major medical issues such as IVDD and heat stroke and require extra precautions to ensure their safety and well-being. We are specifically looking for a bulldog-savvy home for Maple.** Meet the sweetest girl around, Maple! Maple is estimated to be 6 years old and is quick to win your heart with her friendly personality and adorable little snorts. She a couch potato at heart, but has bursts of energy when she loves to play with her toys. She loves making new human friends and getting to be the center of attention. Maple weighs about 19lbs, but is underweight and would benefit from filling out a little. Maple came to us from a local shelter after she was found as a stray with a fractured leg. We partnered with the UC Davis Fracture Program and we were able to get her the necessary surgery to heal her leg. She was also treated for a severe skin infection and obstructive airway disease. Maple is now all healed and ready for her fur-ever home. Her leg will never be completely normal, but she can do all the things she loves. Maple has been loving life in a foster home and her favorite pastime is cuddling with her foster parents. She is the perfect work-from-home buddy and is happy to curl up by your feet, or on the bed, while you are busy. She isn't the biggest fan of walks, especially if it is raining, but she enjoys going to the park to check out the smells. She wants to meet everyone she sees and becomes instant BFFs with all the people she meets. Maple seems like she might do well living with other mellow dogs, but she also wouldn't mind being your only canine companion. She has done well living with a cat and is good about ignoring the cat and respecting its space. She could make a wonderful addition to a family with kids 7 years or older. Maple has been doing great with her housetraining with a routine, but her new family should expect a few accidents while she is adjusting to being in a new environment. She does well sleeping in her crate at night, and while her foster parents are gone. She would do best in a home where she doesn't have to be home alone for long periods and she is very much a people-oriented gal. Maple has done well living in an apartment. While in our care Maple has undergone treatment for skin allergies and obstructive airway syndrome. Her allergies have been kept under control by keeping her up-to-date with her flea/tick preventatives and being on a sensitive skin diet. Her new family will need to ensure they continue with that care to prevent any allergy flare-ups. Maple requires a twice-daily anti-acid medication to reduce the likelihood of regurgitation due to her OAS. Her new family will need to continue giving the medication. Due to her medical conditions, Maple's adopter should be prepared to pay for future medical costs, especially since these conditions will be considered pre-existing and not covered by pet insurance. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. Hi! My name is Loki! I’m a darling brown brindle French Bulldog, approximately 1 yr of age and 26 lbs. My foster Mom says I’m a bundle of fun! I love all people and every dog I meet, so it’s pretty hard not to love me! I get so excited that my usual greeting is some pretty impressive jumping (my foster Mom says it’s not good for me to do that so I’m learning to control myself, but it’s hard)! I’m a happy, friendly, active boy and I keep busy just being busy. Whether exploring the yard/house, playing with toys, or my favorite thing which is playing with my doggie friends, you will find me doing something all the time. I’m always ready to go with you and down for doing anything fun. I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night (after some good bone chewing). I’m still working on my house training. I’m getting the hang of it as long as you take me out frequently to go, but I will need continued training. I’m good on leash (although I need reminders not to pull) and I love going on my daily walks. I’m such a ‘people dog’ and really just love being with my humans… belly rubs are a major plus!! My favorite thing is playing with other doggie friends. I’m good with dogs of all sizes as long as they can handle my exuberance and play style. My ideal home will have another young dog to match my energy and play. I have no experience with kids and due to my exuberance and mouthy play my new home should not have children under 7 yrs of age. Although I’m a very healthy boy (per my veterinarian) my breed comes with certain predisposed medical issues so my new family should be well aware of these issues and the costs involved with owning my breed. My adoption fee is reflective of the high costs of neutering this breed…adoption fees include health examination, current basic vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical/dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.
