Story
Bob is a 3 year old brindle French bulldog weighing in at 29lbs. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the former family surrendered him to us. Bob is a sweet playful dog full of energy. He is great with people and dogs, but not with cats. This cutie likes to greet people with hugs. He is fostered with other dogs and gets along fine with them. Bob does well on walks and in cars. He is house trained and has learned to us a doggy door. He is also crate trained and does well being home alone. Bob is up to date on his vaccines, is neutered and microchipped. We are looking for a loving home that has experience with French bulldogs.

Story
Meet Bonnie! She has mastered the doggy door and enjoys going in and out all day long. Bonnie is completely 100% housebroken by use of the doggy door and loves to entertain herself by tossing her toys around, especially her very favorite hamburger toy! She’ll even happily bring it to anyone she trusts for a game of fetch! Bonnie is a total sweetheart who loves to be held in your arms. She was attention-starved before coming to rescue, but has blossomed since finding her foster home. At night, Bonnie snuggles in bed with her humans and loves being the center of attention. She’s truly enjoying her life as a house dog, and she prefers someone who will let her lay on the couch beside them. Bonnie is spayed and received her vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies) and she is microchipped. Bonnie has lived with multiple small dogs since rescued. Larger dogs can be intimidating for her. She was previously fostered in a home with three small dogs and a German Shepherd, and she was terrified of the larger dog and she avoided the big dog. Bonnie currently lives with two small male dogs (10 pounds and 4 pounds) and one female dog (20 pounds), and she enjoys their company. Bonnie can be selective about whom she trusts due to a fear of strangers. She would do best in a quiet, mature home. With time and patience, you’ll discover her affectionate side—once she feels safe, she’s all about love, snuggles, and playing with her toys! You will quickly know when Bonnie has decided you are trustworthy, because she will bring you her very special prized possession – her hamburger! Bonnie has been fostered with older, respectful kids who understood boundaries and she did wonderfully with them; however, Bonnie wasn’t treated very nicely in the past, so the rescue as a measure of setting her up for success, will be placing her in a home without small or young children. If you’re an open-minded person with love to give and willing to give Bonnie the time she needs to adjust, you absolutely won’t be disappointed! She may not run up to greet you with kisses right away, but with ample time (historically about 2-4 days), she will become a totally different dog, revealing the gem she truly is. Once she trusts you, she’ll happily let you hold her like a baby and shower you with love! We are looking for placement with a yard for Bonnie. She wouldn’t be happy in apartment style living. She absolutely loves going out into the backyard and goes outside during the day all on her own to play, (throw her favorite toy up in the air to herself), sunbathe etc. PLEASE NO CALLS OR TEXTS, AS WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS. If you’re interested, please complete an application at: saveabowwow.com/rescue/adoption-form. If a dog is listed, it is available for adoption. Once a dog is pending adoption, this page will be updated accordingly. We are an all-volunteer nonprofit organization and do not have anyone available to monitor the many phone calls we receive each day. We would be happy to review your application and, ideally, approve you to provide our rescued dog with a loving adoptive home if your situation is the right fit for this awesome dog. Thank you for your interest and for reading this listing in its entirety! Fine Print: -All of our French bulldogs must be walked with a harness (never on a neck collar). -The rescue requires adoptive family to obtain pet insurance for coverage of congenital and hereditary conditions. This is for any of the dogs in our rescue identified as a French Bulldog or a Frenchie Mix. Adoption will be finalized once the proof of pet insurance requirement is met. (There are some great policies ranging between $28-35per month) -We have an open door policy and are always here to discuss anything that may arise with your adoptive pet. After an adoption is conducted please do not hesitate to reach out. -This breed generally speaking cannot swim and will sink like bowling balls so we do not adopt out to any homes with unfenced pools. -If you’re seeking a running or hiking companion, this is not the breed for you. These are funny, quirky, special little dogs that enjoy being with their human but tend to be lazy couch potatoes with bouts of “zoomies”. -All breeds and ages are our veterinarians best educated guess (unless otherwise stated that our group has breeder paperwork)

Once dog is pending adoption, this page will reflect that information. PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING BELOW; Meet Keesha: A Loving Companion Ready for a Forever Home Keesha, a sweet French Bulldog born on August 16, 2021, (according to her Breeders AKC paperwork) has had a rough start in life. She was a breeder surrender, arriving with c-section sutures and spending her days in isolation until Save A Bow Wow Rescue brought her into a world of love and care. Despite her past, Keesha is overflowing with affection and a desire to connect with humans. The rescue has already covered the essentials:  Microchip, vaccinations, health check and even provided her with a harness and permanent ID tags for reunification. Now, she's eagerly looking for someone to share her boundless energy and love. If you've ever dreamed of having a dog who seeks your attention with unmatched enthusiasm, Keesha is your girl. She adores snuggling up close, playing with toys, and showering her human(s) with affectionate nibbles. Her joyful spirit is contagious, whether she's playing with you, another dog, or entertaining herself with toys.  She is adventurous and loves going on bike rides and playing in the water at the beach. She doesn't care what you're doing, she's all in and ready to go explore all the new things her world now can offer her! Keesha is learning the ropes of indoor life and leash manners quickly. While she's full of energy, she's also responsive and eager to please. She's still mastering personal space and the boundaries around food, but with patient guidance, she's making great progress. Her foster caregiver describes her as incredibly intuitive, always checking in with him to see if she's doing well and seeking his approval. Keesha is smart and tuned into her human's emotions, making her not just a pet, but a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to make you happy. Save A Bow Wow Rescue IS accepting applications for Keesha, although she awaits her spay procedure appointment (at the rescues expense). However, if you're interested in offering her a loving forever home or even considering fostering to adopt, please submit your application with Save A Bow Wow Rescue.  Don't miss out on the opportunity to welcome Keesha into your life. Her infectious happiness and loving nature make her a truly special companion waiting for her perfect match. Should you not be in the position to adopt; the rescue would be grateful for your support and it can make a world of difference to Keesha and other dogs like her who deserve a second chance at happiness; take a look at the rescues wishlist and consider sending a care package to Keesha or other Frenchie's in Save A Bow Wow's care. Story
PENDING ADOPTION AS OF 9/27/24 We rescued this very well-behaved, mild-mannered Frenchie from SEAACA. He sleeps soundly throughout the night, isn’t a barker, and has been doing great with his outdoor potty breaks. Archie is a wonderful dog who gets along well with everyone, and it's hard to understand how he ended up in the shelter system. He was impounded due to severe breathing trouble, which we believe was caused by fear from the Fourth of July fireworks. His elongated soft palate was affecting his breathing, but we took him to our vet for a very important surgery to correct this issue. After undergoing a Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) Soft Palate Resection, he is now breathing wonderfully! [If you are unfamiliar with BOAS - it is a very very very expensive surgery, IE: thousands of dollars +/- $6,000.00 so we are not surprised his old owners could not afford (or would not spend the money?) to address his poor breathing]. Archie is playful, sweet, and fully housetrained. He would make a fantastic family dog and would certainly enjoy having a playmate. He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations. Shelter paperwork indicates he is between 1-5 years old, but our vet believes he’s closer to 2-3 years. While we can’t guarantee his exact age, we’re relying on both the shelter's documentation and our vet's evaluation. The rescue has covered all costs for the BOAS surgery, neuter, microchip, harness, permanent reunification ID tags, and vaccinations (DHPP/Rabies) as part of this adoption. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Archie gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and dogs—truly the perfect companion! PLEASE NO CALLS OR TEXTS, AS WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS.
