Story
Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying. Thank you for your cooperation. NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 12/12/2024: Jelly Roll - female - approx 1 year old - 23.14 pounds - French Bulldog Reason for intake: Jelly Roll was picked up in Ruston, La. The finder didn't see anyone posting anywhere missing a French Bulldog and she was worried about posting her as found because of her breed. She reached out to us and we took her in. She is VERY SKINNY and she is NOT CHIPPED. We posted her on our page, reached out to animal control in that area and 4 Paws Rescue, a rescue group in the area, and also two rescue friends from that area to get the word out. So far, no one has come forward. If no owner comes forward, we will send her to our vet on 12/19/24, for spaying and everything else she needs. If you are the owner, please reach out to our Facebook page WITH PROOF. She will not be released to just anyone and we don't go by "see if she answers to xxxxx". You MUST have physical proof. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.416768288349589&type=3 OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.
