He is EXTREMELY fearful/flighty. Extremely athletic and has scaled walls at the shelter easily. He will require a very patient person with a quiet home and multiple friendly dogs to get his confidence boosted. Once settled he will pick his person and can be "normal" he does have the ability to bond and trust. He does silly things like take random items into his crate and "hoard" them. He does not destroy the items just takes them in his crate to collect. He has a great personality! Available for adoption anywhere in the US or Canada with transport provided

We are located in Mt.Airy, NC about 5 & 1/2 west of VA Beach. We encourage you to come to us to pick up we can normally deliver 1/2 way for $100. We can deliver to VA Beach for $200. Transport is on hold due to vehicle issues. This pup was born to a basset hound lab mix mom. She was born 7-1-22. This pup is shy at first. She warms up great though. This pup likes cats and loves other dogs. We have started crate training and potty training. This pup will go home current on vaccines and preventives and microchipped. She is spayed and heartworm tested(negative).This pup will receive a certificate of health issued by our vet prior to transport. The adopter will get all health records with adoption. I got Pico unexpectedly in a Wendy’s parking lot one day. He was 7 weeks old, slightly malnourished with wounds and scars from being house with bigger more aggressive dogs. Since then he has grown into a sweet ball of energy that could play for hours. He loves other dogs, loves children, and loves being outside 1000% of the time. He's an amazing smeller, anything you might try to hide he will find. The reason I would like to rehome him is because I’m military and my schedule is becoming a little more demanding for work, and less time for him. Pico loves attention, and when he’s ready to relax, he loves to cuddle up right next to you, and I would love for him to go to someone/s who have more time and can cater more to his needs of a presence than I’m able to provide
