These babies were picked up following a post person because she fed them. Very sweet, friendly and happy, these are the typical hound personalities!! These will be wonderful companions for any family and kids are okay also. They do jump a bit so will need to learn some manners along with all of the puppy training. They are the best bunch of pups who are always happy to see people. Cats will need to be learned about along with leashes. Just wonderful dogs to have around, they will bring plenty of happiness!! Story
Scotty is a handsome pure breed Foxhound. Who can resist his big soft floppy ears? He was given up because his family didn’t want him anymore, and turned him over to one of our rescue partners.  He is very treat motivated, and is a very loving dog. Scotty enjoys being around people of all ages, and other dogs. He would love a home with another doggie playmate or someone who enjoys long walks. He would be a great jogging partner! Come meet Scotty!Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org December 16, 2024, 7:47 pm

Story
https://foha.org/pet/nolan/ Nobody knows love, nose rubs, affection and nonstop fun like Nolan. Never in your wildest dreams will you come across a never-ending bundle of happiness and kindness like Nolan. I am a dog of many nodes of joy. I prefer to be very active, as my energy knows no bounds. Long walks, big yards, non-stop tug of war are the things that I smile most for. Leash walking is no problem for me, but like my hound dog roots I prefer to set the pace and direction. Calm and quiet are my preferred settings so I would do best in a home nuzzled in a quiet neighborhood or on a serene block. A few Nolan "no-no's are other pets or children. I need to be in a house with an experienced owner who can give me their undivided attention. I do have a strong startle reflex so I should not be allowed on the furniture with you. I would like my own bed to the side where I am safe and sound. Take the time to get to know me, be patient with me as we warm up to each other, and I will show you a dog who will never leave your side and who will always be there for you. Nolan is sponsored by Carolyn Landry: Stacey Gimbert - Thank you for all you do for those who can't help themselves. You are blessing to them and to me. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Female, 2 yrs old, 42lbs (underweight) Personality: adaptable, affectionate, easygoing, good running partner, adventurous, goofy/funny, mischievous, playful, energetic, snuggler, rambunctious, and smart. Mabel makes it impossible not to have a smile on your face when you're together. She'll greet you every morning with tail wags and kisses, and her favorite thing is a rousing game of tug or chase, followed by a snuggle in the nearest available lap. Next on Mabel's list of fun activities is taking long nose-to-the-ground walks, and she's wonderful in the car if you want to take her on an adventure farther from home (she makes a fantastic hiking partner and she won't even complain about a bath after!). Mabel's foster says she is great at picking up cues from other animals - she respects boundaries set by dogs and cats alike, and even knows how to mimic the preferred play style of the resident dog in her foster home. A very food-motivated girl, Mabel has already learned words like "sit, "lay down, "potty, and "come." She seems to have figured out housetraining and is adjusting well to her crate. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
