This playful and smart pup is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly preventatives—he’s all set to start his next adventure! Phoenix adores his people and is a big fan of fun. He’s great with other dogs, and his favorite activities include running, chasing, and playing to his heart’s content. He’s been around cats and, while he’d love to play with them, he’s respectful of their boundaries. Phoenix is learning quickly and doing wonderfully with house training. He’s also picking up his indoor manners and honing his leash skills during daily walks. We think Phoenix would make an amazing family dog, as he’s likely to thrive with kids who can match his playful energy. My name is Duke and I'm looking for a home, a family...one to call our very own!! I was pulled from the local shelter where I've spent 4 out of the 5 months of my life. I've never had a family before and I keep hearing how these things they are so pawsome!! And since you're reading this could it possibly be...that YOU will be my family?!! I am a very sweet fella that enjoys all things puppy. I love exploring this big ole world, playing with the other pups here at my foster home, getting lovins from my people, playing in the water, going for walks, you know...anything puppy!! I adore my people both tall and small but I do have sharp lil teeth and nails, I love playing with the other pups and although I haven't met any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet, at my tender age I should do great with them too. I'm about 5 months of age and come in around 20lbs so I should be a great mediumish size when I get myself fully growed up. That's the perfect size for sharing in ALL your adventures from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting, and ya know, everything is an adventure to me (hint hint!). I've got those fabulous classic handsome good looks that will have heads turning, for sure!! Story
Say hi to Charlie! She’s an American foxhound. We rescued her in May 2020 in Fredericksburg, VA. She is roughly 6/7 but we are unsure. She is a mildly shy but very sweet girl, who needs a lot of patience and extra love. She has made amazing strides and has come out of her shell a ton compared to when we got her. We are growing our family and are unable to give her the attention she deserves any longer. We know it would be best and she would thrive in a quiet yet active home. She is not aggressive at all! She is smart and was quick to learn common commands (sit, down, off, stay, shake, high five, crawl) but does need more work on the leash. She enjoys walks, sleeping, cuddles, car rides with the windows down, playing with tiny squeaky toys (emphasis on tiny lol), and chewing on her bone. Bonus: she never barks or howls- only when she gets excited! She also will sit and wait to eat her food until you give her the “ok” command. ☺️
