Story
Hello, my name is Terra. I am a precious girl, sweet as a sugar, but as playful as can be. I am always happy to see you. I am loving life. My new family has to like a girl with a lot of energy. My new family I would like to hike, go to the beach, go camping, and love to play in the backyard. But more importantly, treat me like family and not something to throw into the backyard and forget. My original family kept me tied up with little water and even a smaller amount of shade. The lady who rescued me along with my friends Jasper and Osa knew I did not have any chance of surviving. So, like she has with so many human parents, go up and demand I am released. Not just because it was right, but because she knew it would be saving my life.Happily, 2 years ago I was surrendered to my rescuerer's rescue. Today everything is forgotten. But for sure, I want my own family. It does not matter if they have a fur sibling for me or not. I will bring so much joy and many hours of happiness. Please request an application, place a deposit to start my journey home.     adoption donation : $699 weight 45 lbs  Age: 8 months as of 1/15        The Rosie puppies—Rosie, Roseann and Rosemary— are adorable, friendly and sweet puppies who were left at the end of the Wags driveway in a cardboard box along with a mama cat and her kittens. Sadly in Mississippi this is all too common.       But despite their sad beginning  the Rosies thrived at Wags, playing with all the dogs and snuggling together for puppy power naps!     The Rosies just arrived in their foster home in the northeast on Saturday, January 25 and are settling in well.Rosemary is the lightest in color of the three girls. She is just the sweetest! She’s very mellow and just loves cuddles. She gets along great with other dogs and is gentle with children.Rosemary just experienced her first snowfall and had a blast romping in the snow!    Rosemary is a happy, healthy girl, she’s up-to-date on her vaccine and has been spayed. She will make a wonderful family dog.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
Meet Miss Kitty! 🤠 Miss Kitty is a young adult foxhound/pointer mix (with maybe a little beagle sprinkled in) who’s as sweet as they come. At just 35 pounds, she’s the perfect size to be your loyal sidekick, whether you’re lounging on the couch or heading out on adventures. ❤️ Miss Kitty came into Rescue with a litter of eight puppies and did an incredible job raising them, even though she was practically a puppy herself! Now, it’s her turn to be pampered and loved. She adores other dogs and gets along wonderfully with all her foster siblings. When she’s not cuddling beside you, she’s busy entertaining herself with her favorite toys, which she loves to hide around the yard for later treasure hunts. Smart and treat-motivated, Miss Kitty is eager to learn and will thrive with training. She’s surprisingly quiet for a hound but does love to follow her nose around the yard, so a secure privacy fence is a must for this curious explorer. She also rides like a dream in the car, making her the ideal travel buddy. If you’re looking for a snuggle-loving, toy-hiding, adventure-ready companion who will adore her family, Miss Kitty is the one for you! 🐾 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Juniper is a sweet playful girl. She could spend hours running around and sniffing everything and anything, so a fenced in yard would be best for this large gal. You'll find that this spunky pup loves treats and is sure to tell you all about it in true hound fashion. With a high prey drive, cats in the home are a no go for this girl. Juniper has lived successfully with another dog in the past, so she may do well with another dog of similar size and energy as her in her new home as well. Teens + would be the best match for Juniper as she can be a little demanding and is a large gal. If you're looking for a true loyal companion who would be a fantastic hiking companion, Juniper is your girl!

Story
Fern is a bit of a shy girl. She may take a little while to warm up to you, but she is sure to be a true loyal companion. This girl may like food just a little too much, so a home as the only pet and Teens + would be the best match for her. Fern could spend hours upon hours following her nose, sniffing everything! So a fenced in yard would be best for her, this way she doesn't get herself lost following smells. Fern is a true hound, a true singer at heart. So this is something to consider if you would like to add this beautiful girl to your home.
