Story
This is Benson, affectionately known as Benny or Bendino. Benny came to us via foster in NC. He is just over a year old and has lots of love to give. He is an all around awesome dog. He LOVES people- and will greet everyone with a whole body wag. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys trips to the dog park to get as many friends to chase him as he can! And boy is he fast! He enjoys walks and would be likely to make a great running partner. Benny loves to just run around with the wind flapping his ears and a big smile on his face with his tongue hanging out. He enjoys playing with all types of toys. He enjoys kids. You might even catch him chasing his tail! He enjoys sunning on the deck too! Benny would be a great fit for an active family with a yard who would love to add in this cutie!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi there! I’m Addison, but you can call me Addie (or “Good Girl,” which I respond to very well). I’m a stunning 2-year-old Foxhound mix—yes, I’m fully aware I look like a supermodel—and I’ve got a personality to match my looks. I’m incredibly dog-friendly, so if you have another dog at home, prepare for some synchronized zoomies and probably an unbreakable friendship. I’m fully house-trained, so you won’t catch me making any rookie mistakes indoors. Honestly, I’m kind of a catch. Loyal? Check. Gorgeous? Double-check. Great with kids? Well… yes, as long as they’re the slightly older, respectful kind who won’t be tugging on my ears every five seconds. I’m a fan of kids who understand that sometimes a girl just wants to chill and doesn’t need an audience while napping. I’m on the lookout for a forever family who appreciates my refined taste in chew toys, my excellent snuggling skills, and my sense of humor. Let’s face it—I’m adorable, I’m trained, and I’m ready to be the loyal, fun-loving sidekick you never knew you needed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 13, 2024, 8:19 pm

Story
Anyone who has met Giles will tell you he is something special. They cannot quite put their finger on it, but his eyes speak and his soul is gentle.Giles is one of the sweetest pups you will ever meet. He is special in every way including medically. Giles was the runt but was never the under dog. Giles is the puppy that would know when a person or a dog was down and could be found curling up with them in their times of need. Any new dog that came in, Giles was sure to make them feel welcomed. He adores dogs and people, he loves affection and loves to romp and play outside. He loves to walk the beach or hike a trail. Giles does have a heart condition that is controlled with daily medicine. As of now the vet says he is happy and healthy and adoptable. Giles will receive one more echo cardiogram in the winter to ensure his medicine dose is still correct and the rescue will cover that cost. We know there is a place out there as special as Giles who will make him feel loved and welcome as he does to everyone he meets. Please place an application at ittakesavillagerescue.com He is up to date on vaccines, prevention, neutered and chipped! All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Story
We are looking for help in finding a new home for a sweet ~8-10 year old Beagle/Bassett mix, Chelsea. She is my mother in laws dog, and sadly she is in the hospital and will not be returning home. She rescued Chelsea in March of 2021. Chelsea is a chill dog who loves humans and is looking for her next family that wants to snuggle up on the couch! She is house trained and has also been trained to stay in the yard without leash. Chelsea needs to go to a home where she would be the only dog as she currently is afraid of other dogs (even small ones). She would get along best in a quiet home as she sometimes gets startled by loud or unexpected noises. Please let me know what questions we can answer about this sweet girl!
