Story
Molly is our 3-legged go-getter! Don’t let her 3 legs fool you, this girl is full of energy and life. She is always on the go and loves to be active. Fantastic movement. Sometimes you see her, and sometimes you don’t. Molly has been owned but unfortunately her owners can no longer care for her. As a teenager, she got out of the house and was hit by a car. The owners rushed her to the vet, but the leg was unable to saved. You’d never know she only had 3 legs the way she moves! Molly is quite short, a beagle-like body but is ‘stout’. She weighs about 38 lbs and was born December 12, 2022 (so right under 2 years old). She has 1 blue eye and 1 amber eye – don’t worry, she has great vision. When she looks at you her eyes just glisten, they’re gorgeous. Molly is house trained, and crate trained. This sweet girl LOVES other dogs and would do fantastic in a home with them as she loves to run around and play. If no other dogs in the home, we strongly suggest somebody that is more active and that enjoys going on adventures, hikes or just long walks around the neighborhood. She is a people pleaser and is very loyal. She will follow you around and be your shadow, right by your side. She knows commands and learns quickly to new ones. Molly is VERY food and treat motivated and will do anything for a yummy treat. In her previous home she was around children, and she loved them! The kids always played with her, and they tired each other out. Molly is leash trained. An ideal home for Molly would be one that is more active and wants a dog that can join in that activity. She loves everyone she meets, she’s always been a house dog, and she is all around just a super playful, super loving, and a super best friend for the perfect family/person. Molly is spayed, heart worm negative, current on vaccinations, current on preventions, microchipped and will have a health certificate giving her a clean bill of health from a veterinarian. You can apply to adopt Molly at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org

Story
Hi there! My name is Miss Dolly (you can spot me in my light pink collar), and I’m a one-year-old American Foxhound with a heart full of love and a whole lot of energy! I get along great with other dogs, and I’m always chasing my foster siblings around—so you can tell I’m a little hard to capture in photos, haha!I absolutely love kids and would thrive in a family where I can be everyone’s best friend. If you reach out to pet me, I’ll flip right over for belly rubs—I’m all about those belly scratches! I’m super goofy and extra sweet, always up for fun and affection. With my playful personality, I’d do best in a home with doggy siblings to keep me entertained. I promise I’ll bring lots of joy, laughter, and tail wags to your home! Could I be the perfect addition to your family? ***DOLLY IS FOSTERED IN TEXAS, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our adoption fee is $350 plus health certificate and transport (if you are out of state - varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), spay/neuter, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
Generally: Benji is a beautiful dog. He looks like a full American Foxhound, but it's anybody's guess since he is a rescue. He is very sweet and plays well with other dogs at the park. He loves to run and his speed belies his age (about eight years). It's fun to watch the two-year-olds try to keep up! If allowed he will run, so fenced yards and play areas are a must. History: I got him from a VERY loving family that rescued him pre-COVID from a shelter in southern Virginia. They now have a much larger family, and felt that Benji was not getting the love and attention he deserved. I got him in March at their home, so he has not been in a shelter for some years. Unfortunately, he has food issues. He has become aggressive with my small dog, lunging at her when she is eating. There was one food-related incident, shortly after adoption, where he bit me and my housemate. That was in late April and has never happened again.

Story
Inca is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: There is nothing Inca loves more than humans and thrives on human connection - she will greet everyone with her wagging tail and endearing looks. A true social butterfly, Inca is a favorite during walks, where she gladly accepts all the pets and praises showered upon her. She loves to spend her days going on long walks in the park, playing tug-of-war, looking out the window, and snoozing at home. She is an independent girl and will do well alone - some quality time outdoors with her people is all she needs to keep her happy. While Inca is generally great on her walks, she is learning to 'look at me' to help with her fear of big trucks. She has fairly good recall (though sometimes she cannot resist reaching the nearest human for pets) and is starting to get comfortable with being off leash outside so she can do what she loves the most - run free and play tag with her human in the park. Inca has been known to do fairly well in a crate in the past, but she is the best-behaved girl when left on her own, and will easily relax in her favorite spots at home. Though she loves to say hello and play with most dogs she meets, she is still learning to share and can get easily overwhelmed, and may be best suited as the only dog at home. Inca has spent her time in different homes, but she is a resilient girl - she is looking for a patient, forever home with people who can understand her sensitivities and give her the comfort she is craving for. ATTRIBUTES: Inca should not be placed in a home with children, but does well with children outside of the home. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. We strive to provide accurate information on all of our animals however, we are unable to guarantee an animal's breed, size, health, behavior, temperament, or any other conditions. Our adoption fees are not inclusive of all vetting / medical care, food, supplies and/or training costs. Since we rely on donations to compensate for those deficits we are unable to reduce or refund this fee. TO ADOPT OR FOSTER: Please apply on our website at www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org or email info@lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org if you have questions! TO DONATE: Please consider making a donation on our website at www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org so that Laila's Legacy can continue to provide lifesaving medical treatment and training.
