Story
Barney is an affectionate, sweet boy. Probably not a year old and loves to play. He has that wonderful hound voice but he's not obsessive with it. He does well with other dogs, he's not familiar with cats but plays to hard with chickens. He's very smart and has learned a few basic commands. He would be a loyal companion for a little love. For more information on Barney and our adoption process please enclose your phone number with your inquiry or call Jacki at 941-587-4612.  November 2, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
https://foha.org/pet/nolan/ Nobody knows love, nose rubs, affection and nonstop fun like Nolan. Never in your wildest dreams will you come across a never-ending bundle of happiness and kindness like Nolan. I am a dog of many nodes of joy. I prefer to be very active, as my energy knows no bounds. Long walks, big yards, non-stop tug of war are the things that I smile most for. Leash walking is no problem for me, but like my hound dog roots I prefer to set the pace and direction. Calm and quiet are my preferred settings so I would do best in a home nuzzled in a quiet neighborhood or on a serene block. A few Nolan "no-no's are other pets or children. I need to be in a house with an experienced owner who can give me their undivided attention. I do have a strong startle reflex so I should not be allowed on the furniture with you. I would like my own bed to the side where I am safe and sound. Take the time to get to know me, be patient with me as we warm up to each other, and I will show you a dog who will never leave your side and who will always be there for you. Nolan is sponsored by Carolyn Landry: Stacey Gimbert - Thank you for all you do for those who can't help themselves. You are blessing to them and to me. Love, Mom Check out all the dogs available at Friends of Homeless Animals! https://foha.org/pet-adoption/find-a-dog/

Story
Hi there! My name is Miss Dolly (you can spot me in my light pink collar), and I’m a one-year-old American Foxhound with a heart full of love and a whole lot of energy! I get along great with other dogs, and I’m always chasing my foster siblings around—so you can tell I’m a little hard to capture in photos, haha!I absolutely love kids and would thrive in a family where I can be everyone’s best friend. If you reach out to pet me, I’ll flip right over for belly rubs—I’m all about those belly scratches! I’m super goofy and extra sweet, always up for fun and affection. With my playful personality, I’d do best in a home with doggy siblings to keep me entertained. I promise I’ll bring lots of joy, laughter, and tail wags to your home! Could I be the perfect addition to your family? ***DOLLY IS FOSTERED IN TEXAS, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our adoption fee is $350 plus health certificate and transport (if you are out of state - varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), spay/neuter, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I'll be your best friend. I'm known to be quite friendly and I get along well with dogs, kids, and cats alike. I am a medium energy guy, so I enjoy a good balance of playtime and relaxation. Plus I'm house trained, which is a bonus! I especially like rural living, it's peaceful and there's plenty of space for me to explore. While my needs are being met now, I still dream of having a family to call my own. If you're looking for a sweet, friendly, and curious companion, I could be the perfect fit for you! Why don’t you fill out an application today and let’s have a meet and greet. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life.
