Story
Molly is our 3-legged go-getter! Don’t let her 3 legs fool you, this girl is full of energy and life. She is always on the go and loves to be active. Fantastic movement. Sometimes you see her, and sometimes you don’t. Molly has been owned but unfortunately her owners can no longer care for her. As a teenager, she got out of the house and was hit by a car. The owners rushed her to the vet, but the leg was unable to saved. You’d never know she only had 3 legs the way she moves! Molly is quite short, a beagle-like body but is ‘stout’. She weighs about 38 lbs and was born December 12, 2022 (so right under 2 years old). She has 1 blue eye and 1 amber eye – don’t worry, she has great vision. When she looks at you her eyes just glisten, they’re gorgeous. Molly is house trained, and crate trained. This sweet girl LOVES other dogs and would do fantastic in a home with them as she loves to run around and play. If no other dogs in the home, we strongly suggest somebody that is more active and that enjoys going on adventures, hikes or just long walks around the neighborhood. She is a people pleaser and is very loyal. She will follow you around and be your shadow, right by your side. She knows commands and learns quickly to new ones. Molly is VERY food and treat motivated and will do anything for a yummy treat. In her previous home she was around children, and she loved them! The kids always played with her, and they tired each other out. Molly is leash trained. An ideal home for Molly would be one that is more active and wants a dog that can join in that activity. She loves everyone she meets, she’s always been a house dog, and she is all around just a super playful, super loving, and a super best friend for the perfect family/person. Molly is spayed, heart worm negative, current on vaccinations, current on preventions, microchipped and will have a health certificate giving her a clean bill of health from a veterinarian. Story
Cricket is a sweet, gentle cuddlebug with a heart full of love, especially for kids. She's incredibly patient and tolerant, even letting her foster family's two-year-old play with her however they please. Though she took some time to settle into her foster home, she's now showing her affectionate side, bonding deeply with her humans. Cricket can be a bit clingy due to her anxiety and isn't a fan of being left alone or using a crate. While she sometimes scavenges for food and has the occasional potty accident, her gentle, warm nature makes her easy to adore. Currently a low-energy couch potato due to medication, Cricket still gets excited for her walks and loves car rides. When small dog friends visited, her joy and calmness were obvious, hinting that she might thrive with another calm dog around. Cricket's ideal home would have someone home most of the time, kids she can love on, and a family willing to patiently help her continue building confidence. Health-wise, she's on track after gaining a bit of weight, and now eats well on her routine. Cricket has been through a lot but is ready to bring endless love and joy to a forever family who's ready for a loyal, snuggly companion. I am a medium energy guy, so I enjoy a good balance of playtime and relaxation. Plus I'm house trained, which is a bonus! I especially like rural living, it's peaceful and there's plenty of space for me to explore. While my needs are being met now, I still dream of having a family to call my own. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life.
