Story
Denver is a handsome and highly energetic puppy. He's always ready to play and loves to race around the yard, grabbing anything and everything he can get to and carrying his prize(s) off in his mouth. At 1 year old and 56 pounds, he isn't quite fully grown, but he's almost there. He'll soon be neutered by our vet, who doesn't believe in performing that surgery on very young puppies. Denver can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly. He spent the first six months of his life outdoors and is currently living in a "private" room at our West Bradenton facility. He's eager to move into a "real" home. Denver originally had a different name, but his soulful eyes reminded us of John Denver (both the man and his music), so we think his new name is perfect. He'll be a loving and loyal companion. If you're interested in Denver, please contact us and we'll get back to you within a day. Our adoption process involves a foster period ((to make sure the "fit" is good) and home visits, so we're looking for a family in Bradenton or Sarasota (Florida).

Hi there, my name is Champ. I am a beautiful big Foxhound looking for my forever home. At 90 pounds, I need a home that can help me slim down and lose some weight. I am almost 6 years old, and just needing a comfy couch to relax on and a loving owner to take me on nice slow, easy walks. I'm a hound dog! I can be prey driven, so I would do best in a home without cats, but if you have other dogs please bring them in for a dog to dog meet. As a hound dog, you will know as soon as someone is near because I will tell you all about it! I love kids, but I need a home with older kids because I can be possessive of my toys. Please come see me at GCHS!

Hi, I'm Breezy! I came to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue from a small municipal shelter after being found abandoned and living on my own. I'm very thankful to be here now because the nice people at GOFAR has given me the care I needed, and now I'm ready to find a home of my own and a family who will love me! I am a happy and loving girl who likes to play... just look at my smile!I'm about six months old now at the end of November and a mixed breed - the BEST kind of dog! The rescue guesses I have some hound and beagle in my, but that is best guess. I'm probably going to be a medium-sized dog when I'm full-grown (about 50-60 pounds). My $350 adoption fee covers my vetting, de-worming, up-to-date vaccinations, and spay (to be done at one of the rescue's vets when I get a bit older).
