WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: There is nothing Inca loves more than humans and thrives on human connection - she will greet everyone with her wagging tail and endearing looks. A true social butterfly, Inca is a favorite during walks, where she gladly accepts all the pets and praises showered upon her. She loves to spend her days going on long walks in the park, playing tug-of-war, looking out the window, and snoozing at home. She is an independent girl and will do well alone - some quality time outdoors with her people is all she needs to keep her happy. While Inca is generally great on her walks, she is learning to 'look at me' to help with her fear of big trucks. She has fairly good recall (though sometimes she cannot resist reaching the nearest human for pets) and is starting to get comfortable with being off leash outside so she can do what she loves the most - run free and play tag with her human in the park. Inca has been known to do fairly well in a crate in the past, but she is the best-behaved girl when left on her own, and will easily relax in her favorite spots at home. Though she loves to say hello and play with most dogs she meets, she is still learning to share and can get easily overwhelmed, and may be best suited as the only dog at home. Inca has spent her time in different homes, but she is a resilient girl - she is looking for a patient, forever home with people who can understand her sensitivities and give her the comfort she is craving for. Bella is a sweet soul. She is cuddly, sleeps all day, loves treats after her walks, and she loves the cold and going on long walks. Her previous owner could no longer care for her or her brother and went into hospice care shortly before she was given up. Her brother was adopted 2 weeks before we recieved her. The family who did end up adopting her found that they could not care for two dogs at once and she was a burden they could not handle, and entrusted her with us to find her a better home. Due to my soon-to-be completed pregnancy, I cannot permanently keep her. As much as we love her and want the best for her, we cannot as a family provide that environment. She's great with everyone and loves to play, and she's a huge fan of wet food and soft chew dog bones. She's also not very talkative but will whine to let us know she needs to go outside, like a well trained good girl ♡

He finds himself a little out of sorts with folks who are keeping him safe but not dog people. He is house trained and walks well on leash. He is tentative about strangers coming to the house and needs to work on proper introductions or put in another room or crate if guests are over. Granby has 5 personal trainer sessions with a trainer who knows him that will transfer to his adopter (Falls Church, VA area, willing to travel in DMV area). Major's been doing great in his foster home! He knows to potty outside and hasn’t had any accidents in the house, just some intentional marking which will dissipate after his neuter. Major is VERY playful. He loves to play with the 10 month old chihuahua puppy in the house. His foster mom has even taken him to the park with her friend's Bernese Mountain dogs and he got along great with them too. There have been no issues with the cats. He is a chewer but if you trade him a toy he is content gnawing on that. He’s a sweet boy and likes attention, but also entertains himself laying on the couch or playing with toys. Major is a sweet, affectionate, friendly, silly hound. If you're looking for a happy, joyful boy, Major may just be your perfect jam.

Hi, everyone. My name is stella mccartney and I am a dairy special Bassett Hound mix puppy that was born the middle of October to a pure bred Bassett Hound mom. Me and my siblings were born in the woods where the man who owned my mom was living in a tent and down on his luck. He contacted a foster of Critter Cavalry Rescue, and she came to pick us up a few weeks ago and help us get our shots and worming and our spays and neuters done. I am living in a terrific foster home that is allowing me to run and play in the yard and in the house, and to also be mentored by their adult dogs who are showing me the ropes. My foster mom laughs at me because she says I am fearless. It seems that one of the adult dogs really doesn't like me and my sister very much because of our puppy energy, but I still persevere trying to get him to like me. My foster mom says I don't take no for an answer. I am a happy girl and very excited about meeting a new family soon. We are going to have so much fun running in the backyard and letting me.Sniff and play and explore and cuddle.
