Story
Inca is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS ABOUT ME: There is nothing Inca loves more than humans and thrives on human connection - she will greet everyone with her wagging tail and endearing looks. A true social butterfly, Inca is a favorite during walks, where she gladly accepts all the pets and praises showered upon her. She loves to spend her days going on long walks in the park, playing tug-of-war, looking out the window, and snoozing at home. She is an independent girl and will do well alone - some quality time outdoors with her people is all she needs to keep her happy. While Inca is generally great on her walks, she is learning to 'look at me' to help with her fear of big trucks. She has fairly good recall (though sometimes she cannot resist reaching the nearest human for pets) and is starting to get comfortable with being off leash outside so she can do what she loves the most - run free and play tag with her human in the park. Inca has been known to do fairly well in a crate in the past, but she is the best-behaved girl when left on her own, and will easily relax in her favorite spots at home. Though she loves to say hello and play with most dogs she meets, she is still learning to share and can get easily overwhelmed, and may be best suited as the only dog at home. Inca has spent her time in different homes, but she is a resilient girl - she is looking for a patient, forever home with people who can understand her sensitivities and give her the comfort she is craving for. ATTRIBUTES: Inca should not be placed in a home with children, but does well with children outside of the home. -------------- Laila's Legacy Animal Rescue does not guarantee that any dog is housebroken nor crate trained. We strive to provide accurate information on all of our animals however, we are unable to guarantee an animal's breed, size, health, behavior, temperament, or any other conditions. Our adoption fees are not inclusive of all vetting / medical care, food, supplies and/or training costs. Since we rely on donations to compensate for those deficits we are unable to reduce or refund this fee. TO ADOPT OR FOSTER: Please apply on our website at www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org or email info@lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org if you have questions! TO DONATE: Please consider making a donation on our website at www.lailaslegacyanimalrescue.org so that Laila's Legacy can continue to provide lifesaving medical treatment and training.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Female, 2 yrs old, 42lbs (underweight) Personality: adaptable, affectionate, easygoing, good running partner, adventurous, goofy/funny, mischievous, playful, energetic, snuggler, rambunctious, and smart. Mabel makes it impossible not to have a smile on your face when you're together. She'll greet you every morning with tail wags and kisses, and her favorite thing is a rousing game of tug or chase, followed by a snuggle in the nearest available lap. Next on Mabel's list of fun activities is taking long nose-to-the-ground walks, and she's wonderful in the car if you want to take her on an adventure farther from home (she makes a fantastic hiking partner and she won't even complain about a bath after!). Mabel's foster says she is great at picking up cues from other animals - she respects boundaries set by dogs and cats alike, and even knows how to mimic the preferred play style of the resident dog in her foster home. A very food-motivated girl, Mabel has already learned words like "sit, "lay down, "potty, and "come." She seems to have figured out housetraining and is adjusting well to her crate. Does Marvelous Miss Mabel sound like the perfect fit for you? Apply today to meet her! Follow @aellis07 for more of Mabel's adventures. _________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Story
Bella is a sweet soul. She is cuddly, sleeps all day, loves treats after her walks, and she loves the cold and going on long walks. Her previous owner could no longer care for her or her brother and went into hospice care shortly before she was given up. Her brother was adopted 2 weeks before we recieved her. The family who did end up adopting her found that they could not care for two dogs at once and she was a burden they could not handle, and entrusted her with us to find her a better home. Due to my soon-to-be completed pregnancy, I cannot permanently keep her. As much as we love her and want the best for her, we cannot as a family provide that environment. She's great with everyone and loves to play, and she's a huge fan of wet food and soft chew dog bones. She's also not very talkative but will whine to let us know she needs to go outside, like a well trained good girl ♡

Story
Granby is a handsome 8-year-old Foxhound/Beagle mix. He has had a lot of change in his life and is seeking new accommodations. First, his human died and then his best buddy who was a cat died. He finds himself a little out of sorts with folks who are keeping him safe but not dog people. He is house trained and walks well on leash. He is tentative about strangers coming to the house and needs to work on proper introductions or put in another room or crate if guests are over. Granby has 5 personal trainer sessions with a trainer who knows him that will transfer to his adopter (Falls Church, VA area, willing to travel in DMV area). His ideal home is a quiet one without children and lots of people coming and going. We are seeking an adopter who has Fox Hound or dog experience who knows how to show leadership to a pup. He weighs 70 pounds and is full grown. Adoption fee is waived, but approval process is not. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. If you are interested in fostering to adopt, please fill out the online application: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ If you have been approved within the past 6 months and are interested in Granby, please reply to your approval email. Story
Major's been doing great in his foster home! He knows to potty outside and hasn’t had any accidents in the house, just some intentional marking which will dissipate after his neuter. Major is VERY playful. He loves to play with the 10 month old chihuahua puppy in the house. His foster mom has even taken him to the park with her friend's Bernese Mountain dogs and he got along great with them too. There have been no issues with the cats. He is a chewer but if you trade him a toy he is content gnawing on that. He’s a sweet boy and likes attention, but also entertains himself laying on the couch or playing with toys. Major is a sweet, affectionate, friendly, silly hound. If you're looking for a happy, joyful boy, Major may just be your perfect jam.

Good with:Dogs Not tested with:Cats, kids House trained:Mostly with an occasional accident Energy level:Medium Noise level:Medium (barks when someone is at the door, or sometimes to get your attention) Hi, Im Dreamer! Im a sweet, playful little hound with a heart full of love and cuddles to share. My favorite thing in the world is being close to my peopleand maybe sneaking in a kiss or two for my doggy friends! Im a medium-energy pup who loves zoomies, playtime, and snuggling up for some affection afterward. Im still learning my manners, but Im a fast learner with the right guidance. I already know come, in a fenced yard with my current foster parents. Im crate-trained and happy to rest in my cozy spot when no one is home or at night. Potty training is still a work in progress, but Im trying my best! Walks are another thing I enjoy, especially when I can meet new friendsboth people and dogs, and Im generally polite on the leash. The cutest thing about me? I hold up my front paw when Im sitting or waiting for foodits just my special way of being me! Whether its playtime, cuddle time, or learning new things together, Im ready to be your best friend. Could I be the perfect match for you? My foster guardian says: "Dreamer is very, very affectionate and is a wonderful companion all day long. She has a sweet disposition." Likes: Zoomies and playing with other dogs My ideal home:While I'm still working on my housetraining, I'd do best with a family that can take me outside for quick potty breaks often throughout the day. Otherwise, I'd do well in a variety of homes! I currently live with three other dogs but don't require a home with another pup. Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Story
Hi, everyone. My name is stella mccartney and I am a dairy special Bassett Hound mix puppy that was born the middle of October to a pure bred Bassett Hound mom.  Me and my siblings were born in the woods where the man who owned my mom was living in a tent and down on his luck. He contacted a foster of Critter Cavalry Rescue, and she came to pick us up a few weeks ago and help us get our shots and worming and our spays and neuters done.  I am living in a terrific foster home that is allowing me to run and play in the yard and in the house, and to also be mentored by their adult dogs who are showing me the ropes.  My foster mom laughs at me because she says I am fearless.  It seems that one of the adult dogs really doesn't like me and my sister very much because of our puppy energy, but I still persevere trying to get him to like me. My foster mom says I don't take no for an answer.  I am a happy girl and very excited about meeting a new family soon.   We are going to have so much fun running in the backyard and letting me.Sniff and play and explore and cuddle. I can do all of those things really well and I promise to make some family's life extremely happy.  Please read up on the bassett, hound traits, and be sure that you can give me the best life ever.  Write to Ccrnewengland@gmail.com  asap.   I'm in Nashville, TN,  but can transport up right away to the northeast.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 30, 2025, 1:33 pm
