Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 33 lbs  Age: 5 months as of 10/15       The Rosie puppies—Rosie, Roseann and Rosemary— are adorable, friendly and sweet puppies who were left at the end of the Wags driveway in a cardboard box along with a mama cat and her kittens. Sadly in Mississippi this is all too common.       But despite their sad beginning  the Rosies are happy and thriving. They are mixes, but appear to have some English foxhound, and perhaps black mouth cur in them, just perfect for a medium size family dog. They couldn’t be sweeter and are very mellow. They are full of kisses and wiggles and love to romp and play and then snuggle together for a puppy nap.    The  Rosie puppies have had vaccinations, but will be spayed when they are older. Wags will pay for the procedure at one of the clinics that we use in the northeast or reimburse adopters what we pay if they choose to use their own vet. The puppies are doing well house training, but they need a refresher when they adjust to a new home. We are adopting them individuals , while they do adore each other they will adjust apart  in a loving home.        Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
This handsome boy is Bandit and he is one of our HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS dogs! If you adopt Bandit before January 1, the adoption fee will be half-price! Bandit is 4-years-old and weighs 60 lb. We think he is a foxhound mix. Bandit is a very sweet dog who loves any kind of attention. His goofy ears are sure to catch anybody's attention. Bandit loves to put his paws up on your lap so that he can give your face kisses. He's a big dog that does not quite know his size but he's food motivated and ready to learn. He has already learned so much during his time at DAWS. Bandit is a people's dog and immediately loves anybody he meets. He would like to be in a home where he isn't alone for long hours. Although Bandit is an active boy who does like to play, he's just happy to be doing anything as long as it's with people. He likes meeting other dogs and playing with them, but he may be jealous of another dog in the home. Bandit would do best with teens and up. Bandit loves car rides and outdoor adventures. Bandit is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. If you would like to meet/adopt Bandit, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions. Here is a video to enjoy of Bandit: https://youtu.be/E-tTI5bZfl0?si=Y5ur-5q0nj0Inc0C

Story
Meet Scarlett, a three-year-old American Foxhound with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. Weighing in at just 43 pounds, this sweet girl has recently found herself at the shelter under heartbreaking circumstances. Her previous owner, needing just a minor shoulder surgery, decided to surrender Scarlett, leaving her feeling abandoned and uncertain. She was then adopted but returned to us after a month due to her fearful behavior. She truly needs someone patient and understanding that her world has been shattered. Scarlett is a shy and sensitive girl who has been taking her transition hard. It's clear she has experienced the sting of being discarded, not to mention also losing her furry siblings, and she's been understandably reserved since arriving. Despite her past, Scarlett remains a truly loving and affectionate dog, yearning for the security and warmth of a true furever home. This beautiful Foxhound has shown a preference for companionship over play. Scarlett hasn’t quite warmed up to toys or activities, but she does find solace being in your company and prefers woman over men. She seems to like kids as long as they're calm and is ok with older dogs as long as they don't bother her. Please remember, Scarlett is very fearful so she needs someone who can help her regain her confidence and a sense of safety. Scarlett’s favorite pastimes include leisurely strolls and cozying up on the couch for some snuggles. She walks perfectly on leash and is also housetrained. Scarlett is a laid-back girl who would flourish in a serene and nurturing environment. If you have a quiet home and the heart to offer Scarlett the love and patience she deserves, she will reward you with her unwavering loyalty and affection. Her adoption fee is $400 and Scarlett is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. If you are interested in this gorgeous girl, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Molly is our 3-legged go-getter! Don’t let her 3 legs fool you, this girl is full of energy and life. She is always on the go and loves to be active. Fantastic movement. Sometimes you see her, and sometimes you don’t. Molly has been owned but unfortunately her owners can no longer care for her. As a teenager, she got out of the house and was hit by a car. The owners rushed her to the vet, but the leg was unable to saved. You’d never know she only had 3 legs the way she moves! Molly is quite short, a beagle-like body but is ‘stout’. She weighs about 38 lbs and was born December 12, 2022 (so right under 2 years old). She has 1 blue eye and 1 amber eye – don’t worry, she has great vision. When she looks at you her eyes just glisten, they’re gorgeous. Molly is house trained, and crate trained. This sweet girl LOVES other dogs and would do fantastic in a home with them as she loves to run around and play. If no other dogs in the home, we strongly suggest somebody that is more active and that enjoys going on adventures, hikes or just long walks around the neighborhood. She is a people pleaser and is very loyal. She will follow you around and be your shadow, right by your side. She knows commands and learns quickly to new ones. Molly is VERY food and treat motivated and will do anything for a yummy treat. In her previous home she was around children, and she loved them! The kids always played with her, and they tired each other out. Molly is leash trained. An ideal home for Molly would be one that is more active and wants a dog that can join in that activity. She loves everyone she meets, she’s always been a house dog, and she is all around just a super playful, super loving, and a super best friend for the perfect family/person. Molly is spayed, heart worm negative, current on vaccinations, current on preventions, microchipped and will have a health certificate giving her a clean bill of health from a veterinarian.
