Story
Finn is a little guy who has been through quite a lot these past few months! After hopping around to multiple shelters and recovering from an intense surgery, he`s ready to get out of here and into a home. He has been benefitting from the support of our Training & Behavior team while he`s been in our care and he will need an adopter that`s committed to continuing to build on the foundational skills he`s learned with us. If you`re interested in Finn and have another dog, let us know! We are requiring a doggie meet-and-greet here at the shelter if entering a multi-dog home. At this time, we are also requiring a home either without children or with children over the age of 10.Finn can be met with until 4:30pm so our Training & Behavior team can provide adoption counseling.

Story
LOCATION: Denver, CO area Lewey has spent the last year watching other dogs get chosen while he keeps waiting for the person who feels like home. Lewey is a friendly, talkative foxhound who loves people and has a big, happy personality. He's playful, energetic, and always ready for a walk or a backyard adventure. He does well meeting new people, is gentle with kids he's met, and mostly just wants someone to chat with and hang out beside. He gets along great with other dogs, chases chickens, and pretty much ignores cats. Like many hounds, he's an athletic guy with lots of energy, so he'll thrive with a family who can give him room to run and a routine that keeps both his mind and legs busy. He's sensitive to loud noises during deer season and he's still learning some basic manners, but he's a sweet dog who genuinely wants to connect and do well. Lewey would love a home with space, structure, and people who enjoy an affectionate, lively companion. With a little training and plenty of love, he's the kind of dog who was born to be someone's best friend.
