Story
Sirius is 2 years old and 65-70 lbs. He looks like a Foxhound. He's affectionate and energetic. He can be food aggressive. The shelter he came from said he can be uncomfortable with other dogs. He's relaxing and we'll get him socializing with others and used to others his size....it's in his nature to be part of a pack. Check back for progress reports....  He is incredibly handsome and shows a lot of animation in a big playground by himself.  Submits - lying on his back.  Pretty cool guy - diamond in the ruff....*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. &#226&#128&#139 Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Please email us for an appointment and include your application (found on our website, beaglesandbuddies.com, under "Forms"). Most appointments will be Friday through Sunday, though other days may also be available. We usually schedule one appointment per hour. Allow 1-2 hours for your appointment. Story
Birdie can only be described as perfect . Birdie is a tri color Foxhound, who's story we cannot figure out. She is gorgeous, in great shape, healthy coat, well groomed, friendly and affectionate. Looks like she may have been bred at one point, but too nice of quality to be from a backyard breeder. If you follow us on social media, you know that we raise all pups that come into our program with Foxhounds. They have such a calm and gentle nature, it really helps the high drive dogs learn the same. The hounds are who we introduce first to new incoming adult Foster's as well because of their natural pack instincts and gentle nature.   Birdie is crate and potty trained, does amazing with other dogs and is starting her obedience this week. Birdie is affectionate, good with kids, dogs, cats and horses. She likes to carry around stuffies, but will de-stuff a dog bed. She actually likes for her kennel to be open and prefers to sleep in there on a comfy blanket. Although she is more than happy to make herself at home on your bed or couch. Birdie needs a home with lots of love and attention, not for any other reason than that's exactly what she deserves! ##1995856##

Story
Ruby is about 5 years old and perfectly healthy. She loves walks, hikes, going to the park, dog park, and beach. She RARELY barks. She doesn't chew on anything (i.e. toys) but food. She loves to do zoomies and play chase with their human owners. Ruby would do best with an individual, a couple, or a family with older children (teens). She won't tolerate being pulled on or mishandled. She seems to not know her size, so she might bowl over small children. She wants to be a lapdog. She is not aggressive towards people/strangers nor dogs/birds/squirrels. She is not an alpha dog, but she is confident and will stand her ground. She is NOT food aggressive. She would be good in a household with other large dogs, and I think best with a farm or woods with lots of animals and space to scent. She must be on a leash at all times because she will run away.
