Story
Dog Name: Eugenio Age: 3 years  Gender: Male Weight: 24.5 kg Size: Medium Breed: Lab Mix Primary Colors: Black/White Spayed/Neutered? Yes Vaccinated? Yes Heartworms Negative? Yes Good with dogs? Yes. Eugenio prefers gentle and kind interactions from other dogs, and his heart opens up to those dogs who show him love and understanding, he's still learning to socialize fully, and he's slightly hesitant at first toward dogs in new social dog environments who approach him with high energy level. He rather likes to get to know them at his own pace when meeting a new dog, especially with male alpha dogs. Eugenio is best with females and passive dogs.  Good with kids? Preferably adolescents as he is active and energetic when playing. He can learn with younger children which he loves.   Good with cats? No Has experience on a leash? Yes Potty trained? Yes. Proper introduction to a new house. Crate trained? Yes Where does the dog stay when it is alone? In his play area, In the kennel, and in the garden. Once he learns the routine, he can be indoors, having access to where to play and relieve himself; he's a smart boy. Where does the dog sleep? He likes the floor when it's warm, in his bed, In the kennel, and takes naps in the garden. Temperament/Personality: Eugenio, is a dynamic and charming four-legged companion who's ready to fill your life with joy and excitement!Eugenio is more than just a playful and energetic dog; he's full of character and unique personality. His love for running and exploring during his daily walks is insatiable, and each adventure is an opportunity to discover something new and thrilling. With a playful sparkle in his eyes and a tail that never stops wagging, Eugenio spreads his enthusiasm to everyone around him. His devotion to treats and affection is unmatched; every pat and every treat fills him with joy and gratitude. While he gets along well with other dogs, he's still learning to socialize fully, and his slightly shy nature at first only makes him more endearing. Eugenio prefers gentle and kind interactions. But make no mistake, Eugenio isn't just all fun and games. He also has a contemplative and observant side; he loves to sit quietly and take in the world around him, absorbing every detail with curiosity and wonder. He's in search of a loving and patient home or person where he can continue to grow and explore the world alongside his new family. If you're ready to give Eugenio the love and attention he deserves, don't hesitate to meet him today! Your life will never be the same with Eugenio by your side! What does the dog's ideal home look like? A loving home, a person who has experience with dogs, an active and stimulating home would be perfect for Eugenio, where he can fully develop and be part of a caring and attentive family. He can be an only dog or a second dog (best female).  What is the dog's rescue story?  Eugenio's journey began at a gas station, almost 2 years ago (2022) , where he was discovered in need of help and rescued by kind-hearted individuals. He has been under his rescuer care and has been under adoption since then and due to the fact, many people don’t want medium size dogs here in Mexico. Eugenio has been looking forward for a home with no luck but nevertheless he has been loved and well taken care of but Eugenio deserves a family of his own. Eugenio will do great in  the Seattle area where he can enjoy what Eugenio loves the most - outdoor activities and cuddles.  This pup is patiently waiting in Mexico for a trial commitment to make their way to WA. Story
Name: Cooper, a 1 year old, perfectly-sized 45lb, Catahoula/Lab mix who is neutered, potty trained, leash trained, and ready to find his furever home! This gorgeous black and brown boy is great with other dogs and cats and would do best with older kids. Cooper is incredibly smart and will impress you with his nose! He is shy with new people and places, but just give him a few days to warmup (see 3-3-3 rule) and you will have the most loyal furever companion! Cooper would do well in a home with other dogs and someone who is home often. He is a timid guy so he would do best in a quiet home. He is still a puppy and has so much love to give! (see more info below) Age: 16m (as of 4/02/24) Gender: Male Breed: Lab/Catahoula mix Health: Up to date on vaccines and neutered Good with dogs? Yes, very Good with kids? Yes but older is better Good with cats? Yes Has experience on a leash? Yes Potty trained? Yes Crate trained? No, Cooper does not like the kennel at all, but has been very good left out with the other dogs. Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? In the house Where does the dog sleep? Upstairs in our bedroom, in a dog bed with the other dogs About Cooper: Cooper is a very sweet and sociable young dog. He loves being around other dogs. He loves people but is still a little frightened when meeting someone for the first time (he spent almost all his life before us in a kennel with not a lot of human socialization). But he is super-gentle and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Cooper would love a home where he can get plenty of exercise – he is only a year old so he still loves to run and play.He is extremely sweet-natured. We haven’t seen a hint of hostility or aggressiveness. He just wags his tail and wiggles his butt with joy every time he sees us. He is also extremely smart. He picks up commands like “sit” and “drop” very quickly. If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? Ben Stiller, because he is sweet and silly but secretly super smart. If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? Sweet silly shy boy seeks a lifetime playmate. Your patience will be rewarded with loyalty, grins and sloppy kisses. Beach or Mountains? Both! Cooper had fun visiting Madrona Beach and watching the ducks this weekend. And he also loves our neighborhood trail here in the Highlands. Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? All of the above, but especially squeaky. Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share…..” Adventures, a bowl of warm popcorn, kisses, cuddles and zoomies. What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? Peanut Peanut Peanut Peanut Butter! Cooper's rescue story: Cooper was saved from euthansia in an overcrowded shelter in NM. He is currently in a foster home in the PNW waiting for his forever family. Cooper's adoption fee is $250www.northwestwagrescue.org ##1856993##
