Story
Meet Trina, a 10-month-old Flat Coated Retriever and Shepherd mix. She now weighs around 31 pounds, but we expect her to mature to around 50 pounds. She sports a medium-length black, grey, and white coat. Trina is the perfect family dog as she's very calm and loves to follow you around as she waits for pets. Trina also does great with other dogs! What a sweet temperament she has! Adopt Trina and let her fill your home and heart! (ME, 12/8/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.December 8, 2024, 2:57 pm

Story
Midnight and Duke arrived at the shelter together. While they can be adopted separately, they can be adopted together - only pay one adoption fee! ***Midnight and Duke are handsome brothers who arrived here after their owner could not keep them anymore. These dear canines naturally were a bit upset at this abrupt change, but they are shaking off the past and are ready to move forward! The twins are young, very active and so fun! Both were rather thin when they arrived, so they would love a home with steady meals, soft beds, regular grooming, lots of exercise and enrichment. While they enjoy each other’s company, they are picky about their doggie friends. They would be best adopted together, or if adopted separately, as the only dog in the home. So, you can adopt one - or you could double your fun with these darlings!

Are you looking for one of those rare gems of a dog? One that can and has proven they can handle multiple situations with grace and confidence? Possibly looking to do therapy dog work or just want a level headed dog for your own companionship? Ross could be a perfect fit for you. He possesses the traits of a well bred dog in an adorable mutt package. This boy is fabulous in the car, confident in store and on urban walks, he loves everything he meets - dogs or humans. He has been camping and is reliable off leash even in new places. He is working towards his Canine Good Citizen award and could continue to work towards therapy dog certification with an adopter. He has worked with children and his kind and gentle nature has helped so many already. We truely can’t say enough good things about this dog and know he will make a new home extremely happy.
