Meet Jack, a 5-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever with a heart as big as his love for people! Jack is the ultimate “Velcro dog”—always ready to be right by your side. This incredibly sweet and gentle boy gets along wonderfully with everyone, including cats, other dogs, and kids, making him a perfect fit for any loving home.   Jack is fully potty and crate trained, neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines and monthly preventatives, and heartworm negative. He’s a big fan of the outdoors, especially if there’s water involved, and he can’t resist a good chew toy or treat. To keep him happy and healthy, Jack needs plenty of exercise and enrichment. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will be your best friend and shadow, Jack might just be the perfect match. ##2218538##

She is a two year-old 45 pound flat coat black retriever that arrived in the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/24. She was brought in by a concerned citizen. She’s already spayed! She’s got a shiny coat and it looks like she’s been well taken care of. She’s very alert. She kept looking over the wall and out the gate. She also wants to be queen of the mountain!! She climbed on our play equipment and on the bench. I think it gives her a better view of her environment. She didn’t appear to know the sit command so that’s something you can teach her. She likes to have her ears scratched and you’re rewarded with many kisses. She’s tail-wagging happy, friendly, and affectionate. She is active. She was not interested in meeting other dogs as she wanted to get outside. She walks fine on a leash. And she’s absolutely adorable. She wants to be an inside dog mostly because she likes to hang out with her human friends. She would love to watch TV with you or curl up next to you as you’re reading a good book.
