Story
Meet Penny, a one-year-old sweetheart with a snowy white coat adorned with charming grey spots, including one that playfully wraps around her eye, giving her an irresistible look. Penny is a gentle soul who’s still learning to come out of her shell, but her love for people is simply unmatched. When Penny first arrived at the shelter, she was a bit unsure of her new surroundings. During her initial time outside, she stuck closely by our sides, seeking comfort and reassurance. But as the days have passed, Penny has started to show her curious, sweet personality—especially around gentle, calm dogs. She’s begun offering friendly sniffs, a sign she’s growing braver and more comfortable in her environment. With each interaction, we’ve seen more of Penny’s warm heart as she’s slowly learning how fun it can be to socialize. While Penny may need a little extra time to feel fully confident, there’s no doubt she’ll blossom in a loving home that offers patience, kindness, and lots of snuggles. Her ideal family would be one that understands her quieter nature and gives her the space to grow at her own pace. Penny absolutely adores people, and once she knows you`re a friend, she’ll be your loyal companion for life—always there with those sweet eyes and gentle affection.Though she’s still learning how to interact with other dogs, Penny has shown that she enjoys the company of calm, well-mannered canine pals. With continued socialization and positive reinforcement, she’s sure to grow into a more outgoing pup who enjoys making new furry friends. Will you be the caring family who helps Penny grow into the confident dog she’s meant to be?Come meet her at Anderson County Paws M,T, Th, F, Sat between 12-5
