Story
Meet Marvin, the cutest little Black Labrador Retriever mix around! Marvin and his siblings, Marlissa and Melissa, had a rough start and were rescued from a kill shelter in Swainsboro, Georgia. They were on the brink of time running out when Home for Good took them in and gave them a second chance. Marvin is 3-months-old and currently weighs 9 pounds. Despite his rough start, he’s getting healthier and stronger each day, and he’s learning the goodness and love of humans. Marvin loves to play with his siblings, romping around and sharing squeaky, plush toys. He loves treats and mealtime, and don’t be surprised when he plays in his water bowl to get your attention (why weren’t you giving him attention anyway!). Marvin is working very hard on his leash training, but when he’s not walking, he loves being held. He adores giving kisses, which we certainly don’t mind. His favorite toys are rope toys (he loves to play tug-of-war) and tennis balls. Maybe you could take him to the store to get some new toys for his collection after he moves in with you! Marvin is a perfect friend to join any family and would get along great with other pets and kids. He’s so excited to experience the love of a forever family, and he hopes you’ll come meet him soon! He will be waiting for you. Marvin is ready to go home on 1/3/25. Marvin is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. Meet Marlissa, a precious Black Labrador Retriever mix! Marlissa and her siblings, Melissa and Marvin, had a rough start and were rescued from a kill shelter in Swainsboro, Georgia. They were on the brink of time running out when Home for Good took them in and gave them a second chance. Marlissa is 3-months-old and currently weighs 11 pounds. Despite her rough start, she is getting healthier and stronger each day, and she’s learning the goodness and love of humans. Marlissa is as stunning and precious as her siblings, with a shiny, solid black coat of fur and a face as cute as can be. She adores playtime and exploring outside, using her nose to sniff out all the best scents and those floppy ears to hear all. She is doing really well with her leash training and loves to jump and play. When she’s not busy having fun or enjoying mealtime, she happily curls up in her favorite humans’ laps for a cuddly nap. She’s also quite the kisser, so pucker up for sweet Marlissa! Marlissa is a perfect girl for any sized family, big or small. She’d really love a home with other dogs or kids and a backyard where she can explore the great big world. Marlissa is so ready to find her forever family. She hopes that’s you! Marlissa is ready for adoption on 1/3/25. Marlissa is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. They were on the brink of time running out when Home for Good took them in and gave them a second chance. Melissa is 3-months-old and currently weigh 13 pounds. Despite her rough start, she is getting healthier and stronger each day, and she’s learning the goodness and love of humans. Melissa, like her adorable brother and sister, is an inky black girl with the shiniest fur. She adores playing with them, especially outside where she has the space to run and chase them around. She’s working hard on her leash training and improving each day. She adores mealtime and snacks (who can blame her?) and toys, especially the squeaky ones. She’s an energetic and jumpy girl who is hopeful that you’ll change her whole world and give her a forever home to call her own. Melissa would be an incredible family dog and would love other pets and kids to play with in her new home. She is happiest when she’s with others, and she knows she will bring any family endless joy and smiles. Melissa is ready to go home on 1/3/25. Melissa is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application.
