Story
Meet Benny Gooddog: Benny Gooddog is estimated to be a 2 year old (as of January 2025) guessed to be a retriever/collie mini mix that weighs only about 15 pounds. Benny Gooddog was surrendered by his owners due to an allergy of a human family member. He was being kept in a small crate outside for a month until they fortunately reached out to a rescue to give him a better life! Benny Gooddog is currently being fostered in the York, PA area and would love to meet his forever family. Benny Gooddog was a bit shy when he was originally dropped off in his crate, but since being in his foster home he quickly became a playful, tail-wagging, grateful pup! Benny Gooddog is becoming more affectionate and has discovered it’s so nice to jump into your lap for snuggle time! Benny Gooddog is house trained using a doggie door, but may need some patience while adjusting to a new process. We would love for Benny Gooddog to have a fenced in yard to run and play freely. Benny Gooddog is up to date on his shots and is neutered. If you are interested in giving this little one a happy home, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
“Yuki” means snow and happiness. I am a girl who is both! At 11 years old I was retired from breeding. I am beautiful white colored Golden Retriever. Don’t let my age fool you. I like to play and snuggle. My foster home is a busy place and I do well with all except the cat. My foster mom thinks it is best I don’t live with any cats. I love attention from any age and literally will just flop in front of you for snuggles and pets. I do well in my crate. Sometimes I still do young dog things like chew on a blanket but I listen when my foster mom tells me not too. I will need to always be leashed in a yard. I like adventure and will try to find holes in the fencing. My foster mom uses a tie out but she is also always outside with me. I am housebroken. I had a few accidents early on at my foster home but none in a few weeks. I am recovering from a UTI. Regression is normal when changing environments. I was spayed and had a mammary mass removed a few weeks ago. My mammary mass was benign but I do have a concerning spot on my knee. At my age another surgery would be hard on my body. It is in my best interest to monitor the spot for changes as long as it doesn’t cause me problems. I really enjoy any attention you will give me. I love toys. I came into my foster home like I had always been there. I am just an awesome girl that I hope someone will take a chance on spoiling for the rest of my life! Yuki is spayed, up to date on shots, and monthly preventatives. Any potential adopter will be required to travel to Harrisburg to meet Yuki with all family members including other dogs. Meet Moose!
 🐾 Breed: Golden Retriever
 🐾 Age: 1 year old
🐾 Size: 82 lbs (currently)
🐾 Energy Level: Active & Playful
🐾 Good with Kids: Older kids, may be too much for young children
🐾 Good with Other Dogs: Yes, but can be a little too "in your face" for some dogs
🐾 Location: York Haven, PA About Moose:
Meet Moose, the lovable goofball with a heart full of joy! At just one year old, Moose is already full of personality and affection. This active boy loves going on walks, lounging on the couch, playing with his toys (especially balls and chew bones), and sitting on laps. He’s truly a snuggle buddy at heart. While Moose has been through a lot, he’s ready to find a forever home where he can live his best life. Moose was surrendered due to bilateral hip dysplasia, and while his left hip has already been repaired, he will eventually need surgery for his right hip within the next 1-2 years. His weight needs to be carefully managed to help with his hip health, but he’s still an energetic pup who loves to play and explore. What makes Moose special? Moose is a “ladies’ man” who thrives on human companionship and loves being around people and other dogs. He's a little too enthusiastic for small children but would do best in a home with older kids or adults who can keep up with his playful nature. He has a sensitive stomach and skin, so he’s on a special diet and takes a daily probiotic. Moose enjoys toys, and while he takes good care of most, he also has a playful side and may tear up a toy or two—especially when there’s a squeaker involved! He’s very much a "lap dog" and loves being near his humans, whether it's lounging on the couch or going for a walk. Moose is learning leash manners, and while he can be a bit of a puller, he responds well to guidance from his foster family. He’s also a car companion, as long as he’s close to someone he trusts. Moose needs a home where he can get plenty of love, attention, and the care he deserves. He’s looking for a family that understands his medical needs, can help him maintain a healthy weight, and provide lots of fun and affection. If you're looking for a playful, snuggly companion and are willing to work with him on his needs, Moose might be the perfect fit for you! Will you give this big goofball the loving home he’s waiting for? 🐾💛

Story
Meet Daisy!
Breed: Golden Retriever / Irish Setter Mix
Age: 10 Months
Surrendered Due to Allergies Daisy is a playful, energetic young dog looking for a home that can keep up with her lively spirit! At just 10 months old, she’s already packed with personality and has a love for outdoor adventures. She absolutely adores spending time in the yard, and her favorite pastime? Picking up large rocks and carrying them around like precious treasures! Daisy is especially fond of the snow – she’ll put her nose right in it and sniff around. Daisy is already familiar with basic commands like "sit," "paw," and "leave it," but like most puppies, she’s still working on her manners. She can be a little mouthy and tends to jump up, so she’ll need an owner who is committed to consistent training and redirection. Daisy will do better with all adults and children over 14 because of her puppy ways. She's also working on staying calm and not jumping, but she's a quick learner and eager to please! Though she’s still getting to know her foster brothers, Daisy is very social and seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. Since she’s just been spayed, her interactions with other dogs have been limited, but she's slowly being introduced to her foster siblings. She’s still learning leash manners, so she tends to pull, but with consistent training, she will improve. Daisy has a high energy level and a working drive, making her an excellent candidate for agility or other active pursuits. Daisy would thrive in a home where she can get lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, or engaging in agility training, she’s up for any activity that keeps her moving and learning. If you’re looking for a fun, enthusiastic companion who will keep you on your toes and make your heart melt, Daisy might just be the perfect fit for you! Daisy is UTD on vaccines, monthly preventatives, spayed and microchipped. She is fostered in York Haven, PA. Any perspective home will need to travel with all family members and dogs.
