Meet Dexter – Your New Best Friend! Hi there! I’m Dexter – a sweet, playful pup with a big heart and a lot of love to give. My two brothers and sister and I were left on a remote road in October, but a kind couple rescued us and gave us a safe place to land. Now, I’m ready for the next chapter: finding my forever family. I’m about 1 year old, neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on heartworm prevention. I’m crate-trained, house trained, and walk well on a leash. I even sleep through the night like a pro! I’m also pretty athletic, so I’ll need a tall, secure fence—I can clear four feet without breaking a sweat. Most of all, I’m looking for a family to love, play with, and grow up beside. If you’re ready for a loyal, energetic companion, I’d love to meet you. Love, Dexter

She and her siblings were heartbreakingly dumped at a cemetery, but just like something out of Twilight, this little girl has proven that even the darkest beginnings can lead to something magical. Alice is a fun-loving pixie dream girl—very much like her namesake, Alice Cullen. She’s full of joy, curiosity, and that special spark that makes everyone fall in love with her the moment they meet her. If Alice Cullen could see the future, this Alice seems pretty confident that her future includes a cozy home, lots of love, and someone to follow around as their loyal companion. She loves to play, explore, and then curl up close like the perfect little sidekick. Alice has the kind of sweet, bright personality that lights up a room—like she already knows her happily ever after is just around the corner. After such a hard start, this little vampire-named girl deserves her own forever family… preferably one who’s ready for a lifetime of love, adventures, and maybe a few Twilight movie nights.

Story
River is a loving, affectionate dog who truly comes alive outdoors. She thrives in open spaces, loves to explore, and carries a quiet curiosity about the world around her. Loud noises can make her a little skittish at first, but with calm, patient people she warms up quickly. Once she feels safe, her gentle and trusting nature really shines. River is still learning what it means to be someone’s pet. While she isn’t yet fully comfortable spending long stretches inside the home, she has made incredible progress. She now comes when called and seeks out human connection in ways she never used to. With patience, consistency, and one-on-one attention, her playful and adventurous personality continues to emerge more each day. River’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Two years ago, she and her daughter were abandoned in a neighborhood. Kind neighbors did their best to help by providing food and water. By that point, River had already had multiple litters, and her daughter eventually had one of her own. When we moved into the area, five tiny puppies appeared on our porch, which is how we first met River and her family. Over time, we were able to safely trap River, her daughter, and her granddaughter’s litter. River has been in our care since this summer. During her rescue, we discovered she had been shot. She underwent surgery on her eye and has since made a full recovery. Through it all, she has shown incredible resilience. In the beginning, River would escape at every opportunity, running off whenever she could. As trust slowly built between us, that behavior faded. She no longer tries to run. She still prefers being outside and would likely do best in a home where she can enjoy time outdoors while also receiving focused, one-on-one attention away from the dynamics of a larger pack. River has a resilient spirit, a loving heart, and so much potential. In the right environment, with someone patient and steady by her side, she will continue to grow, trust, and truly thrive.
