Story
Betty is an absolutley GORGEOUS 80lb 2 Year Old//80lb Flat Coated Retriever Mix with the most stunning of eyes. Betty is a gentle soul who loves to be near you, whether it’s cuddling after meals or quietly playing with toys in the evening. She’s also a big fan of walks and gets especially excited to explore the neighborhood with you!Though she’s a bit shy at first with new dogs, she warms up quickly and enjoys making new friends,  Betty is house-trained and fully reliable, and although she’s not a fan of the crate due to some mild separation anxiety, she settles in well once she's comfortable. Betty is still working on her leash manners and basic commands like sit, stay, and paw, but she's an eager learner. She’s strong on the leash and can get spooked by loud noises like vacuums or garbage trucks, but with a bit of patience and guidance, she’s making great strides! Betty would thrive in a home with another dog and a bit of outdoor space to run and play. She’s a calm and loving companion who’s looking for a family to share her gentle nature and playful heart with.  ##2280107##

Story
Meet Sadie! This sweet and playful 1-year-old girl is looking for her forever home where she can share her love and excitement with a family. Weighing 60 lbs, Sadie is the perfect mix of fun and affection—she loves to run and play but also enjoys curling up on the couch for snuggles.Sadie is wonderful with kids and truly lights up around them! She adores little ones, including toddlers, and would love a home with children to play with in the yard. She also gets along well with other dogs and cats. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. She’s a fast learner, picking up on commands like “sit” and “stay,” and she’s quickly understanding the word “no.” She’s also learning to stick to chewing only her toys and is doing well with that. While Sadie warms up quickly, she is much more shy and nervous around men and needs time to feel comfortable with them. She would do best in a low-key household without a lot of strangers coming and going, as frequent new visitors can stress her out. She thrives in a predictable environment where she can feel safe and build confidence. With her silky black coat and feathered tail, she may have some flat-coated retriever in her. As a young pup, she still needs supervision to ensure she doesn’t get into mischief, but her playful spirit makes her an excellent match for an active family. A fenced yard where she can run and play would be ideal for her. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate, and eager-to-please pup who will be a loyal best friend, Sadie is ready to bring joy and companionship into your life! Story
Meet Nevada! If you are looking for a true snuggle bug then here she is! Poor Nevada (previously named Nellie) must have had a rough life. She has scars all over her body but that does not change her inner beauty and she is a lovely, ~8 to 10 yrs. old medium-size mixed breed sweetheart. Nevada LOVES to play with her toys and will share them nicely with you. She takes food, treats, and toys gently, loves to sun-bathe in the play yard, and loves to go for walks. She is strong on the leash but loves her walks. Nevada knows some commands and is a willing participant. This girl wants nothing more than to relax in a quieter side home with adults or older children. Best as your one and only pet in the home and will shower you with love. Won't you please be her forever person or family? Please apply to adopt Nevada at Rescueridge.com and if your application is a possible match a volunteer will get back to you shortly. Story
This little love bug is Nola! Nola is a 2 1/2 year old, female mixed breed weighing 38 lbs.  Her owner has 2 bad knees and no yard and is no longer able to meet Nola’s exercise needs. As much as she loves Nola she feels it’s in her best interest to find her the home she desperately needs and truly deserves. Rescue Ridge is trying to help her with this courtesy post. Nola is housebroken, and knows many commands. She’s very treat motivated and will happily show off her tricks for a treat. She’s very friendly and extremely well behaved in the home. She does not need to be crated. Nola is strong and energetic and needs a fenced yard where she can burn off some of her playful energy. She would be the perfect partner for someone who loves to walk and hike. Nola is looking for an adult only home where she can be the one and only fur baby. She promises to give you plenty of love an attention.  Nola is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to meet Nola, please fill out an adoption application on our website, rescueridge.com and we will forward it to her owner. ***this is a courtesy post for the owner. Rescue Ridge makes no claims as to Nola’s temperament and will not be involved in the adoption process  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 11, 2025, 9:43 pm
