Meet Beau!This boy is a pure bred yellow lab who found his way to PCHS when he needed a change of scenery. Beau is coming up on 5 yrs old and is a big boy weighing over 100 pounds. Overall, this boy is a gentle giant. He loves to be with people and get attention. He walks well on leash and would enjoy being a leisurely walking partner. Beau was not getting along with the other dog in his original home and does not enjoy the company of other dogs. He would prefer to be the `one and only` in his new forever home. ***Beau would be best suited in a home as an only pet. He would also prefer a home with older kids or no kids as he does not always realize his size***If Beau sounds like he could be a good match for you, apply online today! Meet Sam!This handsome young boy came to us through a valued rescue partner when he was found as a stray and never claimed. We do not know for sure what he is mixed with, but he may have some lab and/or collie mixed in. He is just over 60 pounds and is ready to find his forever home!Sam is full of fun and energy. He really enjoys being out in the fenced yard running, playing, and getting attention. Sam appears to be a herding mix breed and he would benefit from a home that has herding breed experience. This boy has an active mind and would love a `job` to do. Working on a hobby farm or doing agility would be ideal for him. Given his herding breed characteristics, he would do best in a home with teenage children or no children as he has been known to try to `herd` people. Sam does well with other dogs his size or bigger and enjoys playing/wrestling. He has lived with cats and done well but does not seem to be well suited for small dogs. Sam feels the most comfortable around women but can get along with men as well, he just is slower to warm up to them. Sam would make a great dog for someone who needs a herding dog on their hobby farm or wants to get into agility work! Ziegler “Ziggy” is in need of a foster home. His family is moving to an apartment, which would not be a good fit for him. He would do best in a calm home with a fenced yard and could enjoy the company of another playful dog after a slow, proper introduction. No cats, might be a little jumpy for small children.
