He is tall and could knock smaller children down House trained: yes Crate trained: yes Energy level: moderate Temperament: easy going, loving, just wants to be your friend Requirement: Not apartment appropriate but suitable for town home or condo Adoption Fee: $400+tax To adopt, go to:  www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html From the Foster Family: Chief was found tied to the outside fence of HASRA in Al. with a note saying he is a loving dog but they cannot afford to keep him anymore.  Hasra is a no kill dog rescue.  He has spent months at the facility, where he was able to play with all the dogs.  He is a taller, longer boy but only 58 lbs.  he loves to be petted and is loving the freedom to run and play in the back yard.  His coat is a little wavy and full.His first night with me he just curled up in a recliner and slept all night.  He will be a great family dog.  If you like a taller dog, he is one to meet. About Me: I was loved but my family could not afford to take care of me so I was chained to a fence at HASRA in AL.  You should of seen the look on their faces when they came to work that day.  They took me in and I have had a great time with all the dogs at the facility.  I am really happy to have gotten a freedom ride to MN.  I am looking for a family that can show me all the LOVE again.  I am easy going and have a great coat of hair.  Please fill out an application and come meet me and I’ll show you why I should be your next family member.  Till then, enjoy your life.  Chief November 17, 2024, 9:36 pm

Willow here! A yellow lab/shephard mix who is super friendly and sweet. I love kids and other people! Some might say I need a little obedient training. I am a jumper and a licker and know how to open the screen door so you know how smart I am! I even know the word kennel and that's where I eat and drink. I am house and kennel trained and not much of a barker. I will let you know when I need to go out! I also do fine with cats. I even have a routine: go out to go potty at 6:30am with fresh water and a bowl of food. If you're not home, I will need to go back out at 4pm to go and have more food added if the bowl is empty. Around 8pm I usually run the house until I tell you I want to go back to my kennel by standing at the gate. My fosters will have me checked by the veterinarian because one of my hind legs hurts.
