Story
Chase 1 Year old Yellow Lab. Fully vetted.  Chase! 1-2 years old. Yellow Lab. I LOVE DOGS  A little Scared of New people, but working on it.  I need a home with older kids who are calmer. Probably teenage or older.  I am house broken and do well in a crate. My training is going well so far, my foster mom says I walk nicely on a leash when I am in my own back yard but get a little scared when going out to public and will pancake.  I would really benefit from some confidence courses!   If you’re looking for another dog to add to your pack or just a companion for adventures, I’m your guy! Just tell the people you want to meet me, Chase! A secure fenced yard is required for Chase or he will need to be leash walked outside.  Please live within 1 hour of Elkhart IN or Plymouth IN.   To apply for adoption please visit: www.trackingintheshadows.com ##2156343##

Story
Annie - 5 Years old 48lbs. (Should be closer to 40) Have you ever met a dog mixed with lab/basset hound/corgi, maybe some hippo? That will sum up Annie’s adorableness - long body, short legs, large head with cute ears, weighing about 48lbs. Her characteristics that make her extra special are summed up below: Adaptable - nothing easier than a dog walking into your home like she has been here before. Annie claimed her favorite bone right away and hasn’t looked back. Annie has not shown any sort of resource guarding with bones or her food with her foster family. Adorable – Annie’s big brown eyes stare into your soul while she thumps her tail loudly on the floor to get belly rubs. Beware! Once you start, she will let you know you are now committed. Loving – Annie doesn’t spare any kisses. She is happy to overly lick you until you tell her she needs to save them for later. Annie doesn’t know a stranger with four or two legs. She absolutely loves everyone. She is great with social cues and currently lives with a 60LB lab and an 8LB bossy brother. They actually get along great, love to go outside to look for squirrels and birds in the back yard. They are like two peas in a pod. Energetic – Annie has quite a bit of energy and loves to be outside. She runs with her foster brothers. She gets a bit excited and jumps on her her foster siblings so sometimes letting her know to settle is needed! Annie also likes to jump up on people when excited but with continued correction of saying “No”, she rarely does it now. She should do fine with kids that are stable on their two feet. She has met kids and LOVES them. House Broken – Annie lets you know when she needs to go outside whether it’s for fun or if there is an actual purpose. She will not run back inside until she has handled all of her business. She does drink a lot of water so going outside as often as possible is suggested. Crate Trained or Gated in a room – As long she has something comfy to lay on, she should do well. It may take her 10-15 minutes to settle in. We would love a fenced yard for her to run and play in but she would also do well with walks and sniff spots several times a week. Annie has been nothing but a joy to have in our home. She is a very sweet & loving dog that any family would be lucky to have as part of their family. Annie has been fully vetted. She is Lyme positive and currently on a round of antibiotics to help get her numbers down. Story
Meet Scooby! 1 Year old lab mix. 40LBS Scooby is a sweet, smart, and snuggly pup looking for his forever home! This affectionate boy thrives as an only dog. He’s mostly good with cats (though he sometimes gets overly curious) and has warmed up to kids, especially older ones. Scooby is crate-trained, improving his potty habits, and making great progress on leash manners and basic training. He’s eager to learn and loves hearing “good boy”! While he’s nervous with strangers and prefers to keep his humans in sight, his confidence is growing daily. If you work from home or have lots of time for cuddles, Scooby will be your most loyal companion. With patience and love, he’ll make the perfect addition to a family ready to continue his training and help him shine. Could Scooby be your new best friend? Scooby has been fully vetted for one year. Please visit our website for an application. www.trackingintheshadows.com Scooby is on Prozac to help with anxiety but hopefully can be pulled off once he is settled into his new home.   Please live within an hour of Elkhart or Plymouth to apply. *We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.* All our dogs come with age appropriate vaccines, deworming, spayed/neutered, microchipped and on prevention.    ##2255660##
