Story
Hi, I’m Darla! I’m a young girl with lots of energy and a big love for playtime. I really enjoy playing fetch—especially with tennis balls—and I already know a few basic commands. I’m still learning and would benefit from continued training to help me grow into the best version of myself. I also love playing with other dogs here at the shelter and would enjoy an active home that can keep up with my fun, playful spirit. If you’re looking for a happy, energetic companion, I might be your girl!

* Handsome boy that is confused and a little overwhelmed in his new found shelter home* Has been anxious and nervous in the shelter setting, much better once out of his kennel* Friendly and happy when greeting new people when out and about* Knows a couple commands already (sit and shake)* Enjoys zooming after squeaky toys and patrolling the play yards for squirrels* Lived in a home previously with another unaltered male dog and had issues* Friendly and happy to meet female dogs at the shelter, but did have a tendency to hump (likely due to anxiety and being nervous)* Would need a slow, monitored introduction if he were to have dog siblings* Curious about cats when introduced* Would prefer a home without small children at this time BrutusLabrador Retriever mixMaleDOB: 12/12/2020Weight: 65.5 lbs.Brutus`s adoption fee is $150 and includes his neuter, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, heartworm testing, and a free wellness exam.
