This guy! He could honestly win a photo contest! His pictures do not show his true beauty , especially his beautiful personality . Fred has the most gorgeous black fur and beautiful gold eyes. There is not a single dog on this planet that Fred doesn't love. He's a low energy guy but likes to play a bit. He is wonderful and gentle with children. He has the most perfect white teeth. He's kennel trained and house trained and there's just not a single thing to say about him that's negative . Fred was picked up roaming the streets with his sister Ginger in Forrest City, Ark. We have had him neutered , Heartworm tested and caught up on all of his vaccinations. He is currently in a foster home in Memphis Tennessee with several other dogs where he has an opportunity to play during the day. Once adopted, Fred will travel via rescue vet transport to his new forever family. If you would like to make Fred part of your family please follow the link to our adoption application below https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9 Transport is an additional 100.00

Story
Meet Oden! Oden is a 4.5-month-old male Lab mix with the longest legs, a long tail, and wiry fur that makes him stand out. He’s fully vaccinated and is proving to be a smart, eager learner, as he’s almost fully potty trained. At night, he’s a dream—sleeping peacefully in his crate without making a sound! Oden has a playful side and loves all types of balls, but he’s not a fan of the heat. He drinks plenty of water, sometimes spilling it all over the kitchen floor in his excitement. Watch out, though—he’s a bit of a counter surfer! Despite that, Oden is gentle, quiet, and gets along great with his foster brother, Alfalfa, a large male dog who enjoys playing with him. Oden loves finding a cozy spot under the kitchen table on the cool tile and is adjusting well to his new environment. He’s a sweet boy with a lot of love to give and will make a wonderful addition to any family! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please understand we must meet your entire household, including dogs, before an adoption will be approved. Please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Story
Meet Norma: Your Energetic and Brave Best Friend! Hi, I’m Norma! I’m a 12-week-old mixed breed, likely part Labrador and Beagle, from Arkansas. I was rescued with my mom and four siblings when I was just 1 week old, and now I’m about 8.5 pounds of pure energy and love. Even though I’m a mixed breed, I’m my mommy’s twin—I look just like a white Lab with a freckled nose. I love to play and wrestle with my siblings and other dogs! I’ve got tons of energy and am always ready to run and play. I’m the brave one in the family, always the first to explore new surroundings and take on new adventures. I also love following commands from my humans and will stay perfectly still for a photo op—say cheese! I have a big appetite and eagerly look forward to every meal. I’m already crate-trained and working hard on potty training. I love kids, get along well with other pets, and I’m a pro at giving kisses! If you’re looking for a playful, adventurous pup who’s also sweet and affectionate, I’m your girl. I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can share all my love and explore the world with you! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 14 days of a veterinarian deeming the dog or puppy is ready to be altered. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). Story
🐶Meet Marilyn: Your Sweet and Smooshie-Faced Leader!🐶 Hi, my name is Marilyn! I’m a 9- to 10-week-old mixed breed from Arkansas, possibly part Labrador and Beagle. I came to safety with my mom and four siblings when I was just 1 week old, and now I’m almost 8 weeks old and weighing in at nearly 12 pounds. I look just like my mom, who resembles a white Lab, and I’ve even inherited her sad, doughy eyes that can melt anyone’s heart. My foster mom calls me “smooshie face” because of the adorable wrinkles on my snout and forehead. I’m a gentle, kindhearted pup who loves to play with my brothers and sisters, but I also cherish cuddling time with my foster humans. Giving kisses comes naturally to me! I’m curious and energetic, always eager to explore new things, but I’m just as happy being held and loved. I’m crate-trained and working on going potty outside. One of my favorite activities is laying in the sun—I’m a natural sunbather! Plus, I’m a born leader; my siblings often look to me for direction. If you’re searching for a loving, gentle, and playful companion with a big heart, I’m the perfect match. I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can lead with love and share all my smooshie-faced sweetness with you! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 14 days of a veterinarian deeming the dog or puppy is ready to be altered.
