Story
Meet Boba! This beautiful girl arrived at HSoP as a stray and was unfortunately never claimed by an owner. Now that her stray holding period is over, she's ready to find a loving adoptive home to call her own! We estimate Boba to be around 3 or 4 years old. Since she arrived as a stray, there's a lot we don't know about Boba or her history. For instance, we don't know if she has ever shared a home with dogs, cats, or children. Every adoption comes with a seven-day foster period, which can help determine if its a good fit for the whole family. We also require all dogs to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption. From the short time we've been able to know her, Boba has wasted no time showing off her million dollar personality! She's incredibly outgoing (seemingly hasn't met a stranger) and loves to spend time with new human friends. She knows how to sit and stay on command, but does better when treats are involved. One thing Boba struggles with is jumping up out of excitement, which is something we commonly see with pups at the shelter. This is a habit that would be easier to correct in a home setting, with consistent reminders and positive reinforcement. Being a relatively young and outgoing dog, it's no surprise that Boba has plenty of energy to burn. She will need daily walks or access to a secure outdoor space to ensure she's getting enough exercise each day. We think she would appreciate an active owner who's willing to take her out on adventures, too! It's unclear is Boba is already spayed or not. She will need to be spayed before leaving HSoP, so she'll need a trip to the vet to verify this before going home. Don't worry, Boba can still accept visitors and applications in the meantime! Boba will also be current on vaccines and microchipped by the time she goes home. Her adoption fee is $135. Get to know Boba and our other adoptable dogs between 2-5pm Monday through Saturday with no appointment needed. HSoP is located at 2019 E White Ave Moscow, ID 83843.

Story
Say hello to the beautiful Dahlia! Dahlia arrived at HSoP as a stray and was unfortunately never claimed by an owner. Now she's ready to find her perfect forever home! We estimate miss Dahlia to be around 1 year old. Still a puppy on the inside, Dahlia is full of energy, life, and excitement. There's a lot we don't know about Dahlia since she arrived as a stray. For instance, we don't know if she has ever shared a home with dogs, cats, or children. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption, which can help determine if it's a good fit for the whole family. We also require all dogs to meet any other canines in the home prior to leaving HSoP. Dahlia is exactly what anyone would expect from a young lab mix. She's friendly (absolutely loves making new friends), smart (knows how to sit and take treats gently), affectionate (loves being pet!), and playful (jumps and dances around). It's clear that she has a ton of energy to burn, so Dahlia will require daily walks or access to a secure outdoor space to ensure she's getting the exercise she needs to thrive. Being a big people-dog, she would be happy to stick by your side for any outdoor adventures you have planned. We think that continued training would be great for Dahlia! Our staff has quickly come to love Dahlia and the energetic joy she brings to each day. We know that she'll have no trouble finding a wonderful family to call her own! If you think that Dahlia sounds like the dog you've been looking for, we encourage you to visit the shelter to see if she's a match for you. It's unclear if Dahlia is already spayed or not. She must be spayed before leaving HSoP, so she will be checked (and spayed, if needed) by our vet soon. Don't worry, Dahlia can still have visitors and accept applications in the meantime! Visit this pretty girl and all our other adoptable dogs between 2-5pm Monday through Saturday. No appointments needed! We hope to see you soon at 2019 E White Ave Moscow, ID 83843.
